I thought jiujitsu was just submissions.I'm pretty sure judo is throws though.
Anderson Silva is badass 😠
And he does use Muay Thai when he strikes. In his first fight with Rich Franklin, he holds Rich in the Muay Thai Clinch, and busts his nose up so bad with knees that he has to get plastic surgery on it. I think he's a good representation of how Muay Thai fighters fight.
Judo isn't just throws either, it's ground grappling as well, to get your opponent on his back. The kimura is also a judo technique named after the famous judoka Masahiko Kimura.
Of course he's a muay thai fighter, but MMA striking is awfully chaotic and even though he probably is the best striker in MMA he would get his ass handed to him by a rather large number of fighters who just train muay thai or who fight in the K-1.
I'm starting to think you don't actually practice MMA, or have just started a couple of months ago after playing UFC Undisputed 2009...

Well, here's Jet Li's history, some of it anyway.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_Li
Li was eight when his talent for wushu was noticed at a summer course at school, and he began his practice there. Li participated in the sport of wushu in the non-sparring event. He began his wushu on the Beijing Wushu Team, an athletic group organized to perform martial arts forms during the All China Games. As a member of the team, he received wushu training and went on to win fifteen gold medals and one silver medal in Chinese wushu championships. According to Li, once, as a child, when the Chinese National Wushu Team went to perform for President Richard Nixon in the United States, he was asked by Nixon to be his personal bodyguard. Li replied, "I don't want to protect any individual. When I grow up, I want to defend my one billion Chinese countrymen!" which earned him much respect in his homeland.[1]
Li is a master of several styles of wushu, especially Changquan (Northern Longfist Style) and Fanziquan (Tumbling fist). He has also studied other arts including Baguazhang (Eight trigram palm), Taijiquan (Tai chi), Xingyiquan (Shape intent fist), Zuiquan (Drunken fist), Ying Zhao Quan (Eagle Claw Fist) and Tang lang quan (Praying mantis fist). He did not learn Nanquan (Southern fist), because his training focused only in the Northern Shaolin Styles. He has also studied some of wushu's main weapons, such as San jie gun (Three sectional staff), Gun (Staff), Dao (Broadsword), Jian (Straight sword) and many more.
Bruce's history? Besides ballroom dancing I mean.

Well you are starting to think wrong.
I haven't been doing Brazillian Jiu Jitsu or wrestling for very long, but I've been doing Kyokushin Karate, and Muay Thai for years. So you're kind of right, I haven't really focused on the ground stuff until recently. It's mainly been striking for me.
God, just because I'm not a total Einstein on every form of martial arts doesn't mean that I don't train.
And you can't say that he would get beaten by any Muay Thai fighter. Keep in mind that he has been doing Muay Thai LONG before MMA, and used to compete (and win) in Muay Thai tournaments.
He's not going to rely ONLY on his Muay Thai for an MMA fight, that wouldn't work. His Muay Thai is as good as any Muay fighter.
