Did that end with Blade thrusting his chest foward and getting stabbed

No it ended with Blade completely an totally outclassed by some nobody fodder in one panel. Where as Ra's lost to Batman - FREAKING BATMAN - and he put up a fight for three pages until Batman ducked under his guard and stabbed him while the momentum of his swing threw his arms wide. You honestly don't see the difference between the skill show cased in these examples?

To me, the top 3 is definitely debatable. It's not like any of them are far and away better than the other.

You can't really call that dude "fodder". It's stated on panel that the guy is a pure blood and has centuries of sword fighting experience. As for Bruce vs. Ras... i refer you to the physical stats and being a better overall fight practitioner comment.

You honestly believe chest thrusting is a good swordfighting tactic and you honestly believe batman deserves credit for beating a man who thrusts his chest mid battle 💃 😆 💃

If a character shows up for two issues out of no where and then dies unspectacularly at the end, they're just fodder. It's like the parade of kung-fu losers who showed up to fight Shang-Chi every month in Deadly Hands and Master of Kung-Fu. Everyone of them was like "Hahaha I have been looking for you Shang-Chi, I've studied my whole life, I am really the best martial artists not you! I'll prove it! KEEEEEYAAA" and then Shang-Chi would kick their ass and 9/10 of them would never show up again.

but that's not what happened in the case of Blade and this "fodder" guy. The "Fodder" guy clearly outclassed Blade. So sure, maybe he was fodder in terms of plot, but he most definitely was not fodder in terms of skill.

Chest Thrust FTW

Pretty much. If you stick around you'll find out swank has a vendetta against Blade.

Yeah but having seen that feat, do you think that vampire is more skilled than Batman, Ra's, Silver Samurai or Black Knight? Blade doesn't have a lot of skill feats, he doesn't lock blade's with skilled fighters very often (even self proclaimed ones with no background) so this guy showing up out of nowhere and tooling Blade effortlessly, is pretty damning. Blade doesn't typically fight characters with an established skill placement, which means losing to someone without even putting up a fight when he doesn't have any feats that can stand in direct opposition calls his skill into question.

🙄

My "vendetta" is not using anecdotal evidence as concrete proof of the existence of abilities that Blade has never displayed on panel. As I've said before my stance is and always has been that until Blade does something he can't do it, and I couldn't care less what is said in a hand book, or a interview with writer. Actions speak louder than words, and I'm not going to theorize on what Blade might be able to do or credit him with abilities he has never demonstrated simply because most vampires have them. Apparently this makes me a dastardly villain.

What's the problem here? Do you not know who Batman is? Losing to Batman is - and always will be - VASTLY more impressive than losing to some random vampire. Pretending that losing to Batman is somehow evidence of a lack of skill isn't getting you anywhere I'm afraid. Fighting on equal terms with Batman and being able to contend with his skill is impressive... insanely impressive. He's Batman after all. Strictly speaking he might not be the best but Bruce is the measuring stick for all fighters in the DC U.

And for the record, experience means dick in comic books.

Seriously. Wolverine has more trouble with the sword skills of Silver Samurai than he did with Millenia Old Angel of Death Lazaer.

Because Batman wills it so.
