On a side note, I've been hearing from some people that around when this game comes out on the 360, it'll have some complete character outfits for your dashboard avatar as either avatar awards, or something to get on the marketplace. Is this true? =o Can already see there being a bunch of Scorpion or Sub-zero avatars on my friends list, or just people with Scorpion's mask.. I like the concept though.

Details of three different editions of Mortal Kombat:· The Standard Edition featuring the award-winning Mortal Kombat game.
· The Kollector’s Edition featuring the award-winning Mortal Kombat game, Sub-Zero and Scorpion figurines, a collectible art book, downloadable content that includes an exclusive Mortal Kombat Klassic costume skin and avatar costumes.
· The Tournament Edition featuring the award-winning Mortal Kombat game, a portable fight stick, and downloadable content that includes an exclusive Mortal Kombat Klassic costume skin and avatar costumes. The number of tournament editions is very limited with only 20,000 copies available in North America.
Players will be able to pre-order any of the above at North American retailers as of today. Specific pre-order programs include:
· Gamestop: Customers who pre-order their copy of Mortal Kombat at Gamestop will get exclusive access to the Klassic Scorpion Playable Character Skin and the original Scorpion Fatality.
· Best Buy: Customers who pre-order their copy of Mortal Kombat at Best Buy will get exclusive access to the Klassic Sub-Zero Playable Character Skin and the original Sub-Zero Fatality.
· Amazon: Customers who pre-order their copy of Mortal Kombat on Amazon.com will get exclusive access to the Klassic Reptile Playable Character Skin and the original Reptile Fatality.
Mortal Kombat will feature Kratos as a playable character, as well as be in Stereoscopic 3-D exclusively in the PS3 version. The brutal warrior from the acclaimed God of War franchise will have his own customized move set, fatality, and fighting arena, available to all original purchasers when Mortal Kombat hits stores.
I normally have no problem with exclusive content. But of all the things, they had to make fatalities exclusive?

Well alot of the newer games of late have been including unlockable avatar items such as Red Dead Redemption.

They did say before Kratos was even revealed on the web that there'd be new characters, so there's bound to be more where he came from. If they have a new character or two that's not from another series though (but exclusive to MK), I hope they're not lame like a lot of the last new characters they had before (Taven and Daegon from Armageddon and such).

MC & MP outdoing the Kratos addition? Nahh. Phoenix would be a good addition, but not Chief.
For one, MC wears a suit, so showing off X-Ray moves against him would be ghey. Not to mention, MC is ghey.

Don't how MC's suit would be an issue either. Sector is a complete robot/cyborg, and you get to to x-ray moves against him. 😬

If there's gonna be an exclusive Xbox character for the 360 version, it's definately gonna have to be Master Chief. Marcus performing fatalities with his lancer would be hardcore but he kinda lacks the skills in H2H combat and for your information, his last name is spelt Fenix, not "Phoenix."

Although I'm not much of a MC fan, I have to admit it would be kinda funny to see him do a fatality. One where like he makes a random one-liner and then plasma/sticky grenades Cyrax or something 😂 (except the body exploding from the grenade would be much more gruesome looking than in Halo).

Or fan-service is just the reason they are putting him in.
They could easily scale him down to mid-high MK level with some random bullshit they come up with, ala MKvsDC. Alternatively, they just make his story non-canon.
I haven't played SC: Broken Destiny, but if he had a story, it was probably non-canon.

Yeah, I don't really like the button layout for the arcade stick to be honest. It may be ideal for the game it's made for, but I don't think it would be very versatile when it comes to other games.
I'll borrow a 360 then. 😛
Difference being that MC is a man inside a suit, not a cyborg like Sektor. How would Reptile spit his acid inside MC's mouth? Smash open the visor first?
Besides, he mostly focuses on guns. They would have to make the majority of his moves close combat ones, instead of projectile types.
And last but not least, MC is way too ghey for a game like MK.
