Yeah, I noticed that much. Maybe Tanya might appear as DLC too since she is also shown chained up in Kahn's colosseum at times? Probably a baseless assumption though since she isn't one of the rumored DLC characters, I don't think.
Guess I shouldn't be surprised that they already made gifs of like every new fatality now, but I decided to find this one in particular because I was bored, and is the one I never get tired of... awesome
damn so much disrespect for raiden i cant believe it, first they disrespect him in the new game making him recieve ***** slaps by shao kahn, and saying raiden got beat up on purpose just for the elder gods to interfere is wrong since after armageddon at the openning scene of mortal kombat 9 it was the last fight between good and evil and raiden had to win this he didnt have any interest at losing but shao kahn just owned him that bad
and now in this series raiden is portrayed as the god of thunder and yet 3 humans is enough to overpower him and to hold him in prison? and please dont tell me he didnt want to hurt them since he was fighting them as best as he could and he was screaming let me go he did everything he could but he couldnt escape.... i Lol'd when he said he wants them to release him so he can join the tournament i was thinking to myself wtf? you just got owned by ordenery 3 humans and some pathetic old doctor and you want to compete in the mortal kombat? GTFO

Yeah, hopefully Smoke will usurp the leadership from the Lin Kuei eventually, unless perhaps Subzero II gets revived as well, and as a human. I agree that he shouldn't stay a cyborg. It was cool the way it was done in MK9, but it should be a one time only sort of thing. If he does stay a cyborg though, I guess I can deal with it, if they keep portraying him well, and if human Subzero at least makes some kind of appearance as a playable character in the next games.Indeed.
Yeah, it would. If anything, it would just make Raiden seem weak too if they were to keep doing that. Can't always rely on the Elder Gods, especially being the arrogant pricks they can be most of the time.
That would be a great twist. If Liu is to be brought back though, I reckon he'll still be bitter and pissed at Raiden and try to kill him or something, making him kind of the good guy turned rogue who must be stopped...Yeah. Was kinda stupid though how Raiden needed that girl's help to escape. He's a god, and seeing as how he like teleported out of there, I don't see why he didn't do that earlier, though I did like how he took that old guy's Chinese hat at the end and walked off. awesome
Agreed on the music, but the use of animations in episodes 4 & 5 was just weak on their behalf. Why they couldn't just have those parts be done in live action as well? (like when Mileena turned and devoured that guy) Meh, I just didn't like the overall acting of those episodes either, for the most part. Edenia's warriors must suck compared to Earthrealm's if they lost all 10 mortal kombat tournaments for Kahn to enter the realm and take over.
Yeah, agreed. Smoke would make a pretty awesome leader. And if he gets the Dragon Medallion along with it, it'd be sweet.
He was done well I suppose, and if he has to remain a cyborg, I'd be happy with it, so long as they do give us Human Sub-zero as a playable character like you said.
Hehe, it would certainly be interesting. A throwback to Liu Kang beating Raiden, becoming a god, and falling to corruption.
Dunno. Maybe he needed to be 'killed' to escape or something? That blue blood/goo of his was left behind after he was stabbed. Though having his personality remain intact after two lobotomies is quite something. And I agree on the hat. Just wish they had shown us his white eyes again. awesome
I know. If they can show us Kano having his cyber-eye implanted, they can show us Mileena devouring that dude. It's just shoddy production.
Heh, if Taven had been around that time, Edenia would likely not have lost.

Yeah, though whether Liu comes back as a god or not like his ending implies, I can still see him being corrupted either way, like how Raiden's soul got corrupted in the original timeline after his suicide against Onaga. Even Bruce Lee had his.. 'dark' moments in some of his movies, so for a Bruce Lee-esque character like Liu Kang to become dark/corrupted would actually be a cool twist for the character, IMHO. awesome
Yeah, that's true. Forgot about that.
Heh, goes to show that no human interrogation technique can break the will of a god. awesome In a way, that Raiden episode kinda reminds me of some parts of the Thor movie, when he was hospitalized after he was banished by Odin and became human, for a time. Except of course, it was far less severe than the treatment Raiden had to go through, but yeah.
Indeed. facepalm The shoddy production could be due to the budget limit they have though, so there's always that. Not enough budgeting was the reason why Mortal Kombat Conquest (the show with Great Kung Lao) didn't have a 2nd season, despite that the ratings for the first season was pretty much off the charts, but the creators had exhausted all their budgets into the 1st season, so they couldn't afford a 2nd one, sadly. Still, it was arguably one of the greatest live action shows ever for its time of airing. I can see MK Legacy not lasting any longer than Conquest if their budget is as low as I think it is...
That's true about Taven, but wasn't Daegon accidentally awakened prematurely? He could've fought for Edenia to prevent Shao Kahn from merging it with Outworld, but I guess he eventually became too corrupted to even care for his own realm, in addition to being manipulated by the lies of Shinnok, causing him to kill his and Taven's parents..

So...
http://www.destructoid.com/mortal-kombat-gets-some-stealth-tweaks-201807.phtml#ext
NetherRealm sent along some tweaks to Mortal Kombat while you weren't looking. A ninja-like stealth hotfix has set some balance changes to the game's characters without the need for a separately downloaded patch. Neat! Sneaky!CVG says that this hotfix is actually a temporary fix ahead of a larger update on the way.
After the jump you'll find a full list of the changes, which mostly involves the reduction or increase of damage dealt by characters' attacks.
- Reduced some of Kung Lao's combo and overall damage.
- Reduced the damage on some special moves.
- Increased the damage scaling after Kitana's Enhanced ground fan toss.
- Adjusted some juggle's damage scaling.
- Reduced the damage on some basic combos that were doing too much damage without using any meter.
- Increased Sheeva's damage output for several of her moves and attacks. 😱
- Temporarily Changed around some of Sonya's fighting style properties to reduce her ability to lock someone down in block stun.
- Changed Kano's Towards Front Kick to a low block.
- Reduced the recovery on Kano's Upball to be closer to Johnny Cage's Flip Kick recovery.
- Increased the damage of some of Baraka's special moves and attacks. It is easier to juggle combo after hitting someone with Baraka's chopchop on the ground.
- Increased the damage scaling on a frozen opponent.
- Baraka's Away Front Kick, Front Punch combo is now a true popup.
- Reduced some of Reptile's combo damage.

They should like reduce the damage some on Liu Lame's near-endless juggle combo. Other than that, I like the changes made so far, more or less. It is clever how they can do that now without us having to download a separate patch.

Thanks to the end part, I'm not disappointed in this episode..

Now that you mention it, it's cool to imagine what kind of new/enhanced powers Smoke would have if he were to attain the Lin Kuei dragon medallion. He could maybe even get a new suit resembling his ancestors like Subzero did (in Deception, with the Shredder looking armor, which guided his body blow for blow in his MKD ending, thus allowing him to survive that Tarkattan assault. Him prevailing against Scorpion in the battle of Armageddon was also probably due to that same effect with his armor).Yeah, though whether Liu comes back as a god or not like his ending implies, I can still see him being corrupted either way, like how Raiden's soul got corrupted in the original timeline after his suicide against Onaga. I felt it was good to post for that particular moment. awesome
He'd become Retro Smoke? awesome
In all seriousness, yeah, it'd be pretty interesting to see his powers with the Dragon Medallion. That said, does it only amplify cyrokinesis? Or does it amplify any powers?
If Smoke really is an Enenra, maybe him acquiring the Dragon Medallion will allow him to assume that form. After all, he didn't really defeat Shao Kahn, so he shouldn't have regained his memories yet.
Wasn't Raiden's corruption due to his anger at everything that had happened? Though yeah, Liu Kang being anti-heroic would be rather cool, and Shang Tsung pwning the new Liu Kang would be even cooler awesome
True enough. Lobotomies are akin to mind-f***s...but it's a physical one obviously. So Raiden can withstand mind-***s? awesome
I haven't yet seen Thor, so I wouldn't know. >__>
Agreed. Legacy could have a fairly good budget, but Tacharoen was able to do so much (Rebirth) with so little. I think Rebirth's budget was $7000 or something. If he focused less on special effects and stupid makeup (Baraka facepalm2) he wouldn't have to rely on animation.
Yeah, I guess he didn't care. Or maybe he wasn't even around when Outworld lost. Or like Raiden, they couldn't take part in MK? Also, did Edenia fall before or after Argus and Delia were killed?
Someone should make a motivational-esque poster with Johnny cagemmm

Yeah, the beginning and the end of the episode was epic. Everything else in between was meh.
There's also going to be DLC containing the Retro costumes and the fatalities apparently.

Perhaps, though according to Fujin's armageddon bio, Raiden's corruption was due to something different. Something unknown, so I'll just leave it at that. And exactly. 😎
Oi, you should see it soon then before it gets much later.
Yeah, I believe that's right. That last part is definitely true too... Still to this day I wonder why they went from that badass doctor Baraka to that lamely painted orc. If the change was due to bad reception from fans, then **** you fanbase for not being able to accept something new. Regardless, I didn't have a problem with the special effects, but yeah. If they had relied on that less, they wouldn't of had to resort to some out-of-place animation for the Kitana & Mileena episodes. Here's to hoping that doesn't happen again in future episodes.
Eh, Raiden's not able to participate (unless directed challenged) because of his godly status. Daegon's only half god, so it's debatable as to whether or not he was able to participate in an MK tournament. As for your other questions, beats the hell out of me. srug
I'll try to think of one when I can. In fact I have been trying since I saw your last post, but it's hard to top that "I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am" line. It just speaks for itself. awesome

As for that behind-the-scenes fatality stuff, nice. Didn't realize it was that hard for them to pull off the classic Reptile one at first, but I guess it makes sense. Great to hear too about all the pre-order bonuses becoming DLC. Had a good feeling that would happen eventually...
As far as the classic costumes I've had so far, I've only used Ermac's every now and then, but I'll definitely use Reptile's the most should I end up using him more someday...
Huh, these costumes come out just four days before my birthday too.
