My only gripe is it's that imposter Freddy from the remake. Englund will always be the only Krueger.

I personally prefer Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers over Freddy myself though, but I can admit Freddy probably made the most sense as a fighting game entry.

Wow. Now I feel mad wasting 400 points on Rain when I could've waited for this. Granted I'm not a Freddy fan (and probably never was to begin with) but that looked awesome. I second on the recomendation of Jason Voorhess btw.

Anyhow, I heard a lot of Mortal Kombat fans on MK forums/communities are throwing a fit and are threatening to boycott the compatibility pack that Freddy comes with, lol. Am sure as hell glad I'm not a member of any of those places (even as much as a hardcore MK fan I consider myself to be), because I prolly would've never heard the end of the bitching about Freddy today. Granted, I can understand some hardcore fans getting a bit upset since there is a whole swath of interesting MK characters to be revived, or even interesting new characters to be created that actually fit the MK theme and story, but it doesn't really bother me that they chose Freddy since he fits the feel of the game pretty well, and with the incredible service done to the previous DLC characters (Rain and Kenshi in particular are spectacular), I don't see too much room to complain that Boon decided to toss in a slightly silly character.

There probably are going to be more dlc so they can shut it as far as I am concerned. If Freddy was the only dlc I could see their disgust but he isn't he's the fourth so far so they need to chill. I'm a huge mk fan as well.

What's with the Freddy compatibility pack?, does it come with classic Street Fighter skins for people to get upset over?
I don't see much problem with this, It came out of nowhere for me, but I think is cool... Kratos already proved odd characters can fit in the game, so more please!

Hmm...that's weird. I'm looking on GameFAQs and many people are actually pretty excited about him.
And as somebody who already has his favorites in the game, I got nothing to complain about. 🙂

Well I did hear something that implied the 4th DLC character would be the last one, but I'm not sure if that's true or not. I hope it's not, but even if it is, I'll live with it...
Yeah, I can see where you're coming from there as far as the remake Krueger. I'm just glad we didn't get Tanya like I thought we might. She's okay from a gameplay perspective, but as a character and as far as story, I hated her guts. The game only had enough room for one traitorous Edenian, and that was Rain.

So he will release more DLC after Freddy if there ends up being an overwhelming demand. That's a big 'if' though.

So that's how he's in this game. Shao Kahn made Freddy his &!+^# and the dream demon is looking for revenge.
