Might actually start maining Freddy sometime soon. His Hell Spike special, which has a close, medium, and far range version, reminds me of how you can juggle with Shang Tsung's ground fireballs and play mind games with them.

It's cool too how similar Krueger actually is to certain other MK characters in the game. Much like Tsung, Freddy Krueger feeds off the souls of his victims. Much like Kabal, Freddy's disfigured appearance is the result of being burned alive. And much like how Smoke can dash forward and backwards while turned into a cloud of smoke, Freddy can also move away and forward in a unique way with his Dream Shift special. Krueger and Scorpion also apparently were both aged 32 before they died and became wraiths/specters, and share a similar power of hellfire.
/random trivia

I like how Freddy goes "Shh" right before he does his throw/grapple. Love even more how he has one basic combo listed in his moves list called "Kung Fu this *****". 😂 It's nice too how fast and well his x-ray can be used at the end of a combo.

Anyhow, for those who wanna to how to do his finishers...

1. Tell 'em Freddy Sent Ya: Back, Forward, Down, Down (Any distance).
2. I'll See You in Hell!- Down, Up, Forward, Back, block. (Sweep distance).
3. Stage Fatality- Forward, Down, Down, 3. (Varies)
4. Babality- Back, Forward, Down, 1. (Jump distance)

LOL Was gonna try that on him sooner or later, but nice. Out of the DLC characters though, I think I like Skarlet's babality the best. I mean, look at it. Blood over milk? **** yeah.

Freddy's by far my favorite dlc due to my love of the character. He seems to fit in perfectly and it's cool to match him up against the other mkers along with Kratos.

A tad disappointed in his ending though it's fitting for him I wanted to see him mess other up mk fighters not just go after more teens.

I also downloaded Rain and will, really like this character. I hope to see more of him in the upcoming mk and front and center not just as a downloadable.

Rain's geyser kick tends to get on my nerves. Can get hit by it when I'm not even trying to jump over him.

Yeah, his look and abilities were pretty solid, and his backstory was pretty much what I expected, so didn't disappoint there. Just wish he had the prince outfit from Armageddon as an alternate costume.

So apparently Ed Boon's posted two links recently, showing the success of the latest MK game. The game has paid for itself and of the acquisition of Midway, and made WB a lot of bank. It has now outsold Super Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in worldwide sales.

People didn't know whether or not MK's new baby-daddy at Warner Bros. Interactive would continue the series' proud tradition of increasingly ludicrous violence, or if it would continue the stagnating series period.

Fast-forward a bit, and thankfully it seems to have worked out for history's favorite murderers, with Warner's first entry in the franchise garnering critical acclaim and millions of dollars. According to WB Interactive President Martin Tremblay, Mortal Kombat has already paid for all of the assets acquired from Midway by selling "close to" 3 million units worldwide.

To put that number in perspective, as of June 30, 2011 Super Street Fighter 4 has sold 1.6 million units, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has sold 2 million, both of which have been on the market for a significantly longer amount of time. Considering the sorry state of affairs that Mortal Kombat was left in as little as two years ago, we can't help but be a little surprised by the modern-day, gore-soaked Cinderella story this saga has become."

In other news, as of today, August 17th, Boon reports via Twitter that Netherrealm Studios is celebrating exactly one year in their new studio. Happy birthday, NRS.

That's really cool, although we can't ignore that the aforementioned ssfiv is a rehash of sfiv, that has already sold close to 4 mill and the 2 mill of mvc3 is really old, mvc3 is a bit beyond 3 mill at this point. .Nonetheless, that's very good, they reall deserve their success. So it hasn't out sold mvc3, yet.

Yeah, didn't MVC3 come out in Feb and sell 2 mill by March? Who knows where it is now. But the difference between MVC3 and MK9 is that MK9 wasn't an assault on the honor of every person who played the older games. MVC3 is ass! MK9 is not! It deserves it's success.

And talk about sales?! Smash Bros Brawl, 10 million, AND WHAT?! *****!
