On the subject of the Arcade Kollection, man. MK1 Shang Tsung was a lot harder than I remember him being (insane how fast he can use those fireballs), and Goro I could pretty much only beat with Subzero for some reason. Cage's split punch in MK1 needed moar range! Other than him though, MK1 Raiden and Scorpion ftw. Sonya's pretty formidable in that game too. Looking back, I wonder why the Palace Gates stage wasn't remade in MK9. Had some nice music and background.
MK2 of course still remains my favorite out of the old games for the reasons I remember it being. Jax is pretty wacky in that game with those moves of his while lacking those metal arms, but I like him that way. And man, I forgot how much I loved MK2 Reptile. Liu Kang's bicycle kick does quite a bit more damage than I remember it doing too, making him rather useful I guess. I forgot Scorpion even had his scissor sweep kick in MK2, another interesting thing to note. It's funny how vulnerable MK2 Shao Khan is to uppercuts. Before I knew that back in the day I used to have a hell a time with him, and Kintaro. =x
Ultimate MK3 I didn't really play much, having had it as a previous downloaded arcade game. I honestly wish the 3rd game of the Arcade Kollection had been MK Trilogy instead of that. 😬 Then I could use Rain and Noob Saibot, in addition to the MKT versions of Cage, Baraka, and such. Oh well, the kollection was still worth the points/money nonetheless.
Next they should work on putting Subzero Mythologies on XBL/PSN. 313 Hell, I wouldn't mind MK4 as a download for that matter. Just not Deadly Alliance through Armageddon, as they'd be pretty broken to play online, especially Armageddon. lol

Giggity giggity gay. It was just a daily show thing. Pretty funny too.
I would have added MK III to that, along with 4. The Mortal Kombat games were pretty much made to eat money lol.
I wasted many a coin at the arcade taking on Kintaro. The home versions had a water down game play so to speak. When I took on Goro on the sega, easy win. Take him on the arcade is a whole other story.
Shocking, I found Kintaro harder on the home versions than the arcade.

Oh, I see. Thought that might've had something to do with it. Even MK2 Shang Tsung (before Kintaro) gave me quite a bit more trouble than I remember him doing in the past.
And yeah, I remember wasting a coin/quarter when it came to Kintaro as well at one point (good times). But now all I do with MK2 Kintaro, is jump kick when he's walking towards me, and if he's standing still, wait for him to make a move while crouching and counter/avoid.

Its the arcade collection, and in that regard, MK3 and MK4 needs to be added to the list. I though MK3 was a bettter game in some ways, pics endings, more levels, but UMK up the level in beating the cpu lol.
Still I would have added 3 and 4.
I discover the trick against Kintaro in the PSII Midways colllections set. It work on the MKII download for the psIII and I cant recall if that trick would work on the sega and supernes.

As for the trick working on Kintaro in the Sega or SNES versions of MK2 (the latter of which I used to have), I don't remember either.

Eh, I guess so when you put it that way. Would've been fitting too for MK4 since it was the last MK that was put in actual arcades. The only level from MK3 that wasn't put in UMK3 that I recall though was the Bank.As for the trick working on Kintaro in the Sega or SNES versions of MK2 (the latter of which I used to have), I don't remember either.
The Bank, along with the upper level when you uppercut some one.
There is 1 or 2 more levels if I recall, MKU seems to have less levels than MK3. But I have not really tested that out lol.
Oh yeah, the Bank did have an upper level in the original MK3, which you fought Motaro there instead of in what looked like another version of Goro's Lair. Never bothered to get MKU though, so I wouldn't know about that.
Well I played some MK2 once more earlier in an attempt to get better at it again, but had had enough by the time I got to Shang Tsung, no matter what character I tried using. Even when I set the difficulty to Very Easy, I, before too long, would get to opponents who would always duck under my projectiles, block and uppercut whenever I do the other kinds of specials (Liu's flying side kick and such), spam certain moves cheaply (Jax's back breaker and his energy wave, etc.), and all other kinds of bullshit. At first I enjoyed the simplicity of going back to the older games that had no combo system, but now I'm starting to wish the 2nd one did. Guess the SNES version spoiled me when it came to easiness. lol 2 is still my favorite out of the original three games, though.
Interesting hacks.
Hopefully they can't be used online though, or we'd be in serious shit man. Serious serious shit. 😂 The uploader of those vids is being a dickhead too in not telling anyone how to do it.
Mortal Kombat sales top 3 million.

OMG, really? What a jerk! It's really criminal to upload a vid of the hacks and not tell anyone, who does that? I wonder if this can be done through Modio or something.

Anyone think MK10 will not be as awesome as MK9?
As my favorite theme from the character OSTs, probably Cage's out of those I've heard (which I haven't listened to much of 'em yet). Weird sounding, yet catchy.
