In some ways though, Megsy looked like Megs. Bucket head, gun arm, greyish. He spoke Megatron to me, even though he spoke Agent Smith.

I have discovered, thanks to the video game, that "Driller" is just what it's name says. He's an extremely primitive, thinking drill.

So i've been to see this latest one

alot better then the second movie and that earlier picture someone put up of Prime with his trailer using it as wings never happened. They even use a story from a G1 episode

saw transformers dark of the moon today, but originally planned on seeing it friday, but my nephew wanted to see it sooner..

i liked it a lot, pretty good story, optimus and bumbles are damn good..

What did you think of the new girl?

i reakon she was better then Megan and i'm not talking about how good looking she was more her acting.

Wellllllllllllll, I just got back from seein' it and I poopooed my pants internally on how awesome it was. No brain needed when watching this film, as one knows what the hell they're getting themselves into when it's a Bay film and we've seen what to kinda expect with the first two. Action-wise, it was all over the freakin' place. While still being able to present an idea on what people were doing. The military-wank seemed less with this one, I honesty felt the TF's had a bigger presence. The WFC-esque Cybertron they showed was neat, Nimoy was great and Prime, goddamn, he was just one murder after another. Which is cool, cuz that's how I like my heroes.

Several bots went down like a chump, but my only major gripe with the film was it's massively rushed ending. It was like: They're dead.... Yes.... Credits! Y-yeah..?? People can b*tch and moan about plot hole shenanigans, how did Bee go from lookin' dandy to gettin' captured in a matter of seconds? Obviously movies don't really progress in real-time, and this film seemed to really jump ahead time frames in seconds, but no one really gives a shit, G1 had plotholes. Hardly anyone watches these films for their story, I know I sure as f*ck don't. I went in wanting mindless robot killing, this film presented that. So glad I'm an OP fan, as he was massively fan-wanked.

Shocky, poor Shocky, throughout the whole film, I thought he was a hobo. Think about it, he wandered around aimlessly not really up to much. He sure as hell made no effort to show he knew what was going on, one can only assume someone passed the word that they were takin' over.

The new girl, I don't really care about a female lead in this franchise, same turd wrapped differently to me. Based off looks, yeah, I'd say she's more attractive than Fox, but she still had a dumbass open mouth expression, random wardrobe changes, and everlasting, possibly strongest smudge-proof/never-ever smear make-up that I like to call Alpha-Make-Up I've ever seen in a movie. Obviously cuz sex sells, but goddamn, that chick could've gone through the holocaust and forever retain the same dolled-up appearance the entire time. She didn't do anything in the film that stood out ot me. That little pep-talk with Megs towards the end could've been started up by a 10yr old, but it's fine, it made her seem 'important' I guess.

Now, the nitpicks I'm hearing from friends and fans are borderline stupid. My favorites:

"Megatron wasn't on-screen that much"

"Bumblebee needs to stop being on-screen"

"Optimus Prime could never do that"

"His trailer didn't disappear"

"Why were there only 3 girls in the film?"

That last one is ctually my favorite and is in no way stupid, because I kinda brought it up first. Really, aside from random no-name characters, there's Carly, Sam's mom and the government chick who is still under investigation due to her 'don't call me ma'am' episodes which only complimented her somewhat manly lookin' chin.

But I digress, can't please everyone, obviously, though this film really tried to remedy what the second one molested and the first one teased.

Did you catch the plot that they used from an old G1 episode?

Sentinel's plan and how that seems to have massively conficted with the sun crusher plan from ROTF, and also the clash with the 'Megatron getting to Earth all that time ago' when the humans were in no position to be rebuilding cybertron (which was depicted as a self healing transforming planet previously anyways wtf)

The one where Megatron brings the Cybertron to earth, (Yet the purpose of bringing it was ignored: In the cartoon - which had more advanced scifi in it - Megatron wanted to harvest the energy that the gravitational clash of Earth's mass and Cybertron's mass would provide...in this it was for the totally non sensical humans as slaves to rebuild cybertron...wtf plot)

Megatron convinces the earth's government via manipulation to banish The Autobots from earth, leaving the humans as slave prey fro the decepticons, with the full intention of destroying the Autobot craft as it leaves Earth

Ive defended the movie online against premovie bay hate, but it cannot seriously be made out to be completly Star Wars OT awesome. Just "Pretty good for a Bay movie' awesome.
Visual spectactular? Maybe.
Overall as entertaining as the 1st one, pissed alllllll over the second one. Once the novelty of the shiny big things fighting wears off with its more enthusiatic reviewers, the pants will remain and the scores will rightfully diminish, imho.

Scythe: Yeah I agree with your 1st paragraph and your rightful mockery of your friends critiques... they missed out the really deserved weak points to attack. The totally juvenile and brain dead 'humour' displayed within. Devastator 13 yr old level balls joke were just shifted across to Ken Jeoung and his deep wang thang. 🙁 Also they missed out (probably batting for the other team, or blind, or both) on Russian chick, yellow mug girl and the other hotties in the background at various points.

rosie is hot, i may get a sig of her done... i thought she did a good job

'Yeah' on new chick, but that wasn't a massive mountain to climb.

Her character was bloody annoying though. With that establishing scene I was ambivalent. Really nice legs, but wanted her to get stomped due to like 80% of her when her mouth opened.

I'd love to see her and Fox settle any residual bad feeling in a hardcore mudwrestling pit.

I'm no Transformers fanboy but I do follow the movies.

Also, is Megatron supposed to be a ***** now? He's badass in the first film, steeps lower in the second one, and even lower in this one.

I pointed out the fact that aside from random, nameless, throwaway characters, there wasn't much of a female presence. My buds went abit over the top, but it's just not a big deal that the vag count was low.
