It really doesn't. The Governor was a helluva antagonist; taking a break from him for a little while is a good idea. Having no real bad guy at this time allows for more characterization without the distraction of a secondary setting or a Vs. dynamic. Letting Carol go like that has been one of the more profound departures of the show--no big death scene or something dramatic, just calm and understated. Just like her character. Having the episode focus solely on the two groups outside the prison was a nice touch too. Can focus on just those few characters.
Best episode of the season thus far.

I see her headed back into The Mist to end up just fine.
Now, Daryl...that is some Gettin' in Yo' Face action on his part. Definitely my favorite character, especially after they knocked off Andrea.
Boy, I sure am glad that Tyreese is replacing Lori and Carl as the group's annoyingly dramatic f*cktard. This season really needed that, IMO. 👆
And no wonder Carol's husband used to beat the crap out of her-- dat bytch runz her mouth, yo... Although I was surprised that Rick kiboshed her from the group.
All around, this was a very well done episode.

Originally posted by RobtardThis season is thus far disappointing. Stay on topic, please. Don't make me bring up your Man of Steel obsession.
Considering you go with all-male groups and pay to see films like Beautiful Creatures and The Mortal Instrumentals, I take you disliking my taste in shows as a compliment 👆

Ignoring yet another attempt at troll-baiting 🙂
It's pretty good; that seems to be the consensus. You seem to just not like character development, imo, non stop action gets boring without CD thrown in, but you be you.

What's not exciting considering we've have had plenty of excitement? You're probably basing your perceived dullness of this season on this last ep cos it had plenty of character play.
So far this season we've had a nice balance of character development and excitement.
POSSIBLE SPOILER. FOR COMIC VERSION FANS ONLY.
Spoiler:
It looks like Lizzie (the adopted girl in medical containment) is going to replace Carol's comic counterpart. And Carol is somewhat responsible for it.Lizzie named zombies behind the fence. She perceives them as part of the environment.
She called Carol "Mom" which joins the two as one. I see the girl dying the same way as the comic version of Carol did.
And Rob is right. This is a solid season.
