She bid her time, she deserves it.From useless abused housewife to pragmatic do-anything-to-survive zombie killer in just 4 seasons.

She carries all the agro.
It's just a vicious advancement from her origins in the comic.
But the TV series is its own beast so fair enough.
It's obvious Kirkman has chosen another character to replace her comic counterpart. And so be it.

What's not exciting considering we've have had plenty of excitement? You're probably basing your perceived dullness of this season on this last ep cos it had plenty of character play.So far this season we've had a nice balance of character development and excitement.
So, anyone care to explain what the hell are they going to do about those messed up fences now? I mean the walkers can now simply barge in whenever they want to. Seems like the Prison storyline is finally coming to an end.
And Galan, now that he's back, I think that we both can expect that comic book scale bloodbath to ensue in the coming episodes. Ooh, I am getting the shivers...
👆 I just wonder how close they'll stick to the comic in that regard. As I'm sure you know, the final battle of the Prison saga marks the deaths of
Spoiler:in the comic. Although it also marked the death of Lori, but she's already dead, so things may very well change in the show.
Tyreese AND baby-Judy
On another note: they can at least park cars on both sides of the broken fencing to buy them some time, but for whatever reason they don't seem to give a phuck right now... I feel like the entire fence fiasco could have been completely avoided if they'd of just had 2-3 people constantly(as in 24/7) patrolling the perimeter and killing the hordes of zombies before they became a problem. Don't know how the phuck that went on the back burner. "Lets only start killing Walkers when they've already began pushing our fences down", they say. 👇

The first episode of this season was terrible. It's all I've seen so far. Gonna let a few more episodes build up before I watch again, but I don't have high hopes for this show anymore.

That's exactly what I thought, they had months between seasons and they did nothing to fortify their position. I'd love it if it turned out that Carol never killed those people and she just took one for the team, Maggie's reaction to the news of Carol's expulsion gave me hope, until she agreed with Rick that is.
I don't know what people are expecting from this season. It's been five episodes and we've gotten a good bit of growth out of these characters. Not to mention purged ones that served a tertiary purpose at best. Is the only thing people want from this show more shootings and escalating bloodbaths? That's both untenable and boring.
Agreed.
I have enjoyed the focus placed on character development(which, imo, is what the show desperately needed), as opposed to constant emphasis placed on the Guvnah/Woodbury. Now that we've gotten to know the people within the prison a little better over the course of this season, they'll slowly reintroduce the Guvnah as the main antagonist. Great pace of things, imo.
Tbh, I've enjoyed this season quite a bit overall. A few of the plot-holes bug me, but that's fiction for ya.
Yeah as far as whole seasons go, this one's shaping up to be my favorite. Which is good--it means the show's getting better as it ages. Watching the zombie shooting and the character deaths can be fun, in a shallow, superficial, who-gives-a-shit sort of way...
But when you're given time to get to know characters and form attachments to them (and more importantly, are given a good reason for doing so), then that makes the impending violence and death more harrowing and meaningful when it finally occurs. Seeing Carl's transformation over the seasons and knowing the reasons why makes him a more three-dimensional character. If he started that way from the beginning, we'd be used to and dismissive of his "badass" persona.
Can you imagine if every single episode was "Yeah, the Governor was being evil and badass!" or "Yeah, Carl was being a badass!" or "Yeah, Rick was being a badass!" or "Yeah, explosions and gunfire and CGI bloodspurts--YEAH!"
F*cking boring, man.
