Galan: Speaking of plot-holes; when Hershel and Michonne left to dump the walker bodies, there was nobody present to open/close the gates. Not to mention the nonchalant manner in which both Rick and Carl went into their field and had a bite of their beans, completely ignoring that just a few yards away both the inner and outer fences had been been compromised. Also, didn't the walkers trample upon the crops or something?
What actually annoyed, or rather humored me was Hershel's Daleish manner of dealing with the turned patients in order to prevent those kids from witnessing walker-slaughter.
^ Yeah, the fence thing is just silly. There are so many ways that could have been entirely avoided. Yet now that the fence is breached, and the safety of everyone is compromised, Rick(and co) don't seem to give a phuck. Tbh, that is probably my biggest problem with this season yet.
...You'd think Rick would have taken some 'zombie-protection-queues' from Morgan Jones last season, at the very least. The dude had an excellent setup.

I've been wondering this whole time where they get potable water. And if they didn't filter it/boil it, people would have dysentery in a week and the show would be over.
There's always some huge suspension of disbelief involved in zombie fiction, like the fact that zombies don't rot to nothing in weeks in the humid Georgian weather, etc.
No "walking dead" style zombie would last longer than it takes for muscles to seize up and whatever basic neural controls are providing movement to run out of resources. But w/e, it's a zombie show.
But where the hell are they taking all those bodies? In the prison area alone there must be at least 1000 corpses around from these last two seasons. Maybe they're pulling a Johnny Depp and using the rotting flesh to fertilize the soil for crops.
well, I had a friend point out to me last night that zombies are physically impossible anyway. In order for there to be any kind of movement, the cells have to be getting energy, which they get through the blood. However, bleeding out doesn't seem to change a zombie whatsoever. it doesn't work. He kinda blew it for me.

Wait.... zombies can't exist? My mind is blown.

Scientists have chilling possibilities with genetic engineering in the context of "black biology."
I think that mankind is getting close to the stage of making "28 Days Later" a reality at least, even if TWD is far off.
Originally posted by Lord LucienI just did some calcs, and it would seem that when powerful zombies are killed, they simply disappear like a Jedi.

I think that WTD virus... significantly slows down the decay process of the host and reenergizes itself via consumption of other organisms.
But yeah, in the real world, even the Walking Dead's... sexy virus'd up zombies wouldn't work too well.

Zombie decay speed (aka ZDS) depends on the racial makeup, sexual orientation and political inclinations of the former human.eg a zombie created out of a gay Black Republican could potentially last centuries due to its level 10 ZDS.
