Please no Daryl/Beth. Let's just FriendZone that ship straight away.

It seems like they've thrown Beth at him, so she can go from "not being prepared for this world" to "can now survive" just so they can kill her off.

Talk about an emotional death for Daryl. I hope they don't think that the end would justify the means.

I was hoping Daryl would get drunk and beat the shit out of Beth. She's getting a bit too lippy, IMO. 👇

That being said, I definitely don't ship Daryl/Beth. Daryl/Carol yes, but not those two.

I thought they were going the route of hooking those two up in some shitty, contrived new romance to "spice up" the show. Thankfully no.

The two most underdeveloped characters in the show were the sole subjects to the most character-building episode of the series so far, IMO. Everything about it worked; the atmosphere, the setting, the music, the blood-splatter, the Washington foreshadowing, the reminiscing, the drunken outburst, the catharsis. Cletus and Diane probably aren't happy that there wasn't more blood and shooting, and that their family sugar shack was burned to the ground, but goddamn did the episode do right by the characters.

I know Daryl is a REDNieck but is Beth even LEGAL yet?

If not....THEY SHOULD NOT BE SEX SHIPPING!!!!!!!!!

She's like 17/18. IIRC. But yeah, I can't see them together. When she said she wanted to get drunk I was dreading the possibility.

I'm pretty sure Beth is 19...

18 as of Season 4. Dawson Creek-cast portrayed by 28 year old Emily Kinney.

WTF, she doesn't look anywhere near 28.

I know, she looks like jail bait still.

I'd still hit it though. Often.

Yeah but that says more about you then it does abot her...and what it says AINT Good!

In pics not of TWD, she looks older, not 28, but older. I'd hit that.

I'm still convinced she's played by the same girl as Luna Lovegood.

Haters gonna hate.

Close.

Beth is hotter, I think. Though I can't pick between the southern twang and the Irish lilt.

I'd go for Irish in most situations, but then again Emily's Southern accent is rather muted.

Always the best answer.

Side note - I just realized I went to the same college as Kinney and was there at the same time as she. I even saw her performing in a gender-switched Hamlet!

Yeah, when I browsed through her pictures, I was convinced she was Luna, as well.

Here? Looks fanceh. Ranked rather high too, the article suggests.

Unrelated, we should start making bets as to which regular dies this season. Emily's offhand comments about developing through the season and being moved to regular billinv might make her temporarily safe. I'm most worried about Maggie and co, based on the previews from last Sunday.

Nah that's just tension. They need to have her and Glenn reunite before they're torn apart for good. So far I'm leaning toward either Michonne, or even Daryl. Michonne's been given an emotional breakthrough and some humanity--a new lease on life you could say.

Those people always die.

And Daryl's just had something similar. A revelation that he has something to live for, and an appreciation for Beth for helping him leave his uglier life behind in a symbolic blaze of glory.

Bon Jovi predicts his imminent demise.
