The Walking Dead

There's suspense of belief because of show-producing errors/inability to completely conform to artificial reality, and there's glaring stupid plot decisions. While I'm not saying TWD is automatically a bad series for this issue (it does create tension, drama, etc.), it takes a heavy dose of suspension to say 'sure, the group never made a backup plan, seems legit'.

It's not like they hadn't all been forced to relocate several times before. Hell, just using Woodbury as a well known fallback position would have been smart.

Spoiler:
Lizzie is ****ed up.

Carl's gonna end her. If it happens in the coming episodes or even the next season, then I called it first.

What I don't get is how did

Spoiler:
Carol not just magically find them in the middle of the forest, but also managed to locate and reach Tyreese so quickly as well
?

It's almost like that sh1t which the Governor's new faux wife pulled off in the midseason finale; not only figuring out where the prison was located but also managing to reach their in the middle of the battle, with the dead girl in her arms for complete dramatic effect.

I'm thinking the space between sets is either a nebulous fog of Plot Expediancy, or anyone not on camera becomes a wizard. I'm also not remembering the truck at the end of this past episode making a sound. Either it was coasted in at neutral gear or it too is magical.

Someone's never heard of stealth trucks.

It's the same type of truck some rightwingers insisted that Saddam used to ship his WMDs to Syria and why the US never found them in Iraq.

Then I'm glad it decloaked just in time for the reveal.

Oh crap this back on?!
Yeah, caught me by surprise too. Thank goodness for On Demand. Spent yesterday catching up on my WD. Good stuff, generally.

Having caught up I agree it's stupid they had no fall back place to go to. And it's going to be irritating because it will probably take the rest of the season to get them all back together now.

But screw it, this is still my fav tv series right now. And besides being separated does give opportunity for character development.

Miss Espinosa's zombie killing outfit is the best so far.

Some other stuff happened too, I think.

I like Eugene.

The mullet of power or the condescending attitude? Which draws you more?

Holy shit is Rosita distracting.. lol

Agreed. Though it is silly with her Lara Croft outfit during the Zombie Apoc.

Anyone else thinking the "scientist" was just a fat guy who was living in his mother's basement spending his days gaming before the ZA and he's just telling stories so people take him along/keep him safe. That smile he did as they were walking away is also suspicious.

Used to distract us from some of the narm perpetuating the previous episode. Specifically, all of the scenes with the newcomer trio seemed a bit off compared to the drama of the pre-existing characters. I don't know why. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Yeah, no scientist has a mullet, a southern accent, and dresses like that anymore.

Not in the normal world. But a true genius would know to disguise himself in order to fit in better. Clever shrew.

But yeah, he'll either turn out to be a fraud, or they'll pull a Planet Terror and blow his head off before he can announce his breakthrough. No way the writers are going to let a pesky little thing like "the bigger picture" get in the way of the character drama and the guns.

I haven't read the comics much beyond the appearance of Abraham and co., so I have no clue what if any knowledge he has that can 'save the world', unless he has a Tardis.

If they're following the comic's storyline more closely now, then he's a liar or going to die quickly. No way we'll make it all the way to Negen's arc with Eugene the Savior biding his time in the back somewhere.

...Perhaps the best thing to happen to TWD yet.

As for Abraham:

Spoiler:
He actually turns out to be a pretty good dude, if the show follows the comics.
As for Eugene:
Spoiler:
He turns out to be completely full of shit.

Anyway, I'm assuming these past few episodes have been setting the stage for Alexandria..?

AGREED!

That new bunch just don't fit at all. The scientist is either supposed to have some sort of socialisation mental illness like aspergers or the guy that plays him is just awful. The sergeant guy is basically the same character he played in Band of Brothers and the chick looks like she stole a 'sexy soldier' costume from a fancy dress shop.

I have assurances from the Chancellor that they represent rather accurately the source material.
