The damage shown was much, much bigger than this gif though. And according to her, she only emptied her clip into the ceiling to drop it down like that on all those walkers.
To be fair, this is the same reality where people use katanas without upkeep for months at a time.
Perhaps the tunnel was old and weakened by a previous quake. Or Maggie knows Shatterpoint and this is just all an elaborate origins story.
It's also the reality where blood has a very difficult time getting on, and staying in clothing. And where dozens of rotting corpses are easily removed from the front lawn between episodes. And where it takes extremely little effort to pierce with mildly sharp objects the skull of a creature that has enough bone density and strength to stand upright and eat people.
Oh yeah, it's also the reality with zombies. A missing scene with a crumbling tunnel roof doesn't feel quite as egregious a disbelief suspension now.

Um... has Maggie said anything about Beth yet? I don't remember her asking about her little sister who was hiplocked with her two seasons ago.
Plus Beth was with Daryl and he has Plot Armor, so she probably wasn't worried as much for her as about almost-sick-as-death Glenn.
The moment the cold, badass killer reclaims their humanity and realizes a reason to live, is when they get killed off. It cements their redemption and creates purpose for their overall existence. Daryl will get one more big lesson or epiphany about life, probably concerning Beth, and then he'll get offed. This show is formulaic enough for that.
Game of Thrones on the other hand...
Then again. It does like to kill off kids for no other reason than being annoying and the actors that play them being shit.
I can see Daryl going in this season. My view is that the people at terminus are serving up some Beth steaks. The Glenn and Maggie crew realise and trouble ensues. Daryl and his new band catch up with Rick, Carl and Michone and Daryl sacrifices himself saving them.
