My apologies . . . I meant would he be the one to restore the Jedi Order? IMO, he is more like a Jedi of The Old Republic and I'm not talking during the Clone Wars era. I'm thinking of the Mandalorian Wars and the Great Sith War.
I can't think of a Sith or Jedi that can beat him. If he is this powerful as shown in the game trailer, than who exactly can stop him? Obi-Wan wouldn't have needed to send Luke to Yoda . . . Galen would be able to train him on Yavin and other places.

Marek is supposed to be a "what if" scenario: what if Luke Skywalker had been raised by the Sith? It's not so difficult to imagine that he's Skywalker-class in terms of potential and aptitude. I'd say he's easily on par with Caedus or Luke himself in terms of potential.
I have a problem with someone who had regular force sensitive parents having the same potential as one who's father was the embodiment of the force.
Except not really, because as far as I know we've yet to actually see it be done to someone in a quantifiable manner (I.E. the attack being carried about can be displayed to us with a quote or on-screen or something).
The concept of "well anyone can do it" doesn't mean much unless we've actually seen them do it.
Personally, until I read a quote or see a video that shows someone else waving their hand and watching someone's entire body unravel into dust before my eyes, I'm going to just assume that Galen is for all intents and purposes numero uno when it comes to force combat.
'It happened so quickly Bane never even had a chance to put up his guard . . . but the attack wasn't directed at him. The right hand of the boy she had called Tomcat- her cousin and childhood friend- disintegrated. With a mere thought she obliterated everything below his wrist: flesh, bone and tendon vanished in a bloody explosion, leaving only a ragged stump.'
'Bane thrust out with the Force, and a dozen of the oncoming creatures exploded into dust and tiny flecks of small, twisted metal.'
'That enemy vanquished, he used the Force to disintegrate two more advancing technobeasts,' -ROT
Bane and Zannah've done it at least.
You guys are forgetting one thing though:
Our center of worship just happens to be the article of the day.

The idea that having the last name Skywalker makes you uber is probably embodies retardation better than anything else, IMHO.
Luke can be still powerful in the Force, but he's not as (nor should he be) Anakin's level in potential. He's not the Chosen One, so there's no reason for him to be.

Yes that is definitely an issue. This just demonstrates Lucas cares more about making money than leaving a worthy and consistent legacy behind him (not that I blame him, he's worth a couple billion, give or take).
The ironic twist from which he benefits is, that even though he may alienate a lot of die-hard SW fans because Marek may be on par or even better than Skywalker, those same fans will buy the game anyway.
