The ironic twist from which he benefits is, that even though he may alienate a lot of die-hard SW fans because Marek may be on par or even better than Skywalker, those same fans will buy the game anyway.
That's the kicker, really. Despite all the hate I'm sure Beefy will be the first one to get TOR and run around Nar Shadda as a Sith warrior named Captain_Jewface69 and TJ will be his sidekick MikeHawksBig. It's inevitable.

For me, I will just use the Luke Skywalker costume in TFU II. That way, I'll keep my sanity when playing it lol.

I... dislike the clone plot introduction.
from what i have been reading and watching on TFU II site it seems like they are trying to make you unsure as to weather he's a clone or not.
i mean the just to hint to it but at the same time the "sub text" screams how can that be a clone?.....
I'm sure he is though.
anyways the first one was my all time favorite game so i pre-ordered the collectors edition of the new one....hope it was worth it! lol
A small spoiler alert: while watching E3 2010 this morning, the game designer hinted that Galen in TFU 2 is not I say again not a clone. It's possible that in the ending of TFU 1 that Galen wasn't killed, but merely knocked out. Vader then Galen into a medically induced coma for 6 months. The powers he wields in this TFU are astonishing. The game takes place a year or so before Luke is 'discovered'.
If this is true and Galen continues to gain strength, then Star Wars mythos would have to be re-written. If Lucas sanctions this.

Spoiler:
Kota: "[I don't think that Vader could actually clone someone so powerful...]" - Blackman
I doubt it's verbatim, but should that actually be the case consider a long-standing loose end a little closer to being tied up. The continued existence of DE aside, LucasArts has stolen my dreams (Inception?!)answered my prayers.
That said, Jedi Academy is still completely superior. I really really really don't understand why it doesn't have a shiny sequel by now.
