STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Respite

Started by Digi69 pages

I smell GM treachery. I take a gasmask.

uhuh

I also have my lightsaber and body armor on me.

Sorry Rexx, Lana has me paranoid after the details from her backstory excursions. 😉

-

I fall into line behind Xeth.

Tilulla is opting to wear body armor! Anyone else?

I will go over the rules for body armor for Digi's sake. Every point of Armor you don, you lose a point in your Agility stat (and related skills, including Lightsaber and Combat). Generally Jedi forego armor for this reason, but don't let that discourage you.

Navir will being wearing a light blast vest. Barker, being a Wookiee, declines it.

Crap, I'm supposed to be the lightsaber skills in the group, huh? Alright, forget the armor. I'll just survive through my other wiles.

Considering Tilulla has a naturally high pool, your main concern would simply be acrobatics.

Xeth will take a point of armor, pulling on his old Geonosian battle gear.

He will then look for a point to access the building from the roof.

Noted.

There is a door on the roof that goes down into the building. The door itself has been torn off its hinges.

Great. Xeth will go check it out.

Hey Ti, are you leaving your astromech on my ship or is it coming with us?

We have yours to man the ship. No need to have mine sitting around. He can come with us.

Cool. Have him start scanning for lifeforms around us? We've got our Senses for that but it doesn't hurt to have help.

"Gotcha boss," I nod amenably at Xeth. "Gator, see who's around. See if you can estimate how much electrical activity we have within the area as well." I'd like to get a sense of what level of electrical "buzz" we're dealing with that Rexx mentioned, or possibly what kind of functioning tech they have in the area.

Good call, let's see what's still working on this planet.

G8 taks a moment to analyze the static energy in the atmosphere.

The way he is beeping does not seem to be good news. He is saying that the static can be potentially damaging to electronics in the long run. That includes G8, your blasters, even your lightsabers.

Your ship is shielded, though; it is unaffected.

Hrn. That changes things. Xeth, any opposition to leaving G8 here? If we bring our astro's, we should save them for when we'll be facing the enemy.

Also, should we create a lightsaber rotation system, where one of us leaves a saber behind to try to ensure that at least one of us will have a working saber later on? I'm happy to volunteer for the first "shift" without one.

Also, Rexx (through G8), how would a bowcaster, vibro-blade, or grenade be affected?

-

"Thanks Gator. Any lifeforms around, or is there too much static?" After I receive my response, I send him back into the ship.

Without any care, your lightsaber, bowcaster, and grenades would become totally disfunctional. It would take a Fix-It roll to get them back on. A vibro-blade would simply do less damage.

Same with your astromechs. They would slowly accumulate damage until you gave them a check-up.

G8 says he is picking up lifeforms but cannot pinpoint them due to the interference.

Alright, G8 stays behind. With two functioning astromechs, we should have two chances at Fix-It saving rolls.

I leave my lightsaber behind, bringing a blaster and vibro-blades instead, along with the gasmask.

Xeth brings everything. We can have the astromechs just repair our weapons when we return to the ship, it sounds like.

Vera has her blaster and lightsaber. She has no other means of fighting...

Your astromechs can only do one roll at a time. If nobody else in your group has Fix-It, then Navir and Barker can help out.

Sure you want to leave your saber, Ti?

I, well, damnit. No, I bring the lightsaber. I'll cross my fingers and deal with it later.

In that case, I leave the blaster and vibro-blades.

Fair enough!

Xeth- the interior of this building reeks of must and decay. The stairs do not appear safe.
