Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Interesting bug.

Started an 8-man Wanted match, and immediately as the match started I had two pursuers after me, which I thought a bit strange. I found my target on a rooftop, and my target proceeded to walk towards me, as we met, we both brushed each other with the poison-attack animation. And just as my target was poisoned, the red B icon suggestion I could stun her hovered above her head, making me realize that my target was also my pursuer. A couple of seconds later both of us collapsed on the rooftop , having killed each other.

Anyone else experienced their target and pursuer being the same person?

No, but that's pretty funny.

I've never had that happen before either, but I agree, that's great.

So, new map on Monday. Venezia by Night. Reward for getting a million fans on facebook 😛

Is there really anything different about the "at night" maps? Seems like cheating. Running the map pack with Pienza and not Mont St-Michel is great though. It only leaves one map I dislike (Monterigionni)

Finally hit 30, which means I pretty much have all the tools I'll need through 50. I'm lots better at Manhunt right now, and it's much faster leveling for me. I read the recent Game Informer where they interviewed a guy who got really good at AC:B. He espoused Poison/Charge as a great offensive pair. I can't get used to Charge, but the benefits of Poison are obvious (at least in Wanted). For the most part I just use Smoke Bomb and something else that doesn't get a ton of use.

I still use Morph for Manhunt defense, despite having blender. Players love just killing sh*t, so it's good for a lot of Lure points. I suppose if I start doing ranked matches more, I'll need to switch to Mute.

The map is the same, but it actually is different playing the night maps. The different lighting makes spotting people easier/harder. Like, I hate Pienza Night; thanks to the tight spaces and the covered market area, the lack of light makes it impossible to spot anything. Where as Pienza Day is much better. Playing Rome Dusk is also fairly different than just Rome, because the lighting means there's glare on stuff.

So yeah, not as cheap as it sounds 😛

Sweet. New singleplayer memories, new locations, new multiplayer map, new game modes, and new characters.

w00t

Nice. Although I'm not always a fan of new multiplayer modes. A few good ones are all that's needed. The other stuff sounds excellent though

Anyone see the "stats" posted on the Info menu in the multiplayer menu? Smoke Bomb is the most popular ability (no surprise), Firecrackers has the best use-to-success ratio (a surprise to me).

And I'm starting to see the value of Charge, even though I still suck with it. Technically any ability can be used for offense and defense, but Charge is one of the few abilities with obvious value as both. As such, it probably makes the most sense in Wanted, since its versatility makes it more potentially useful in a game mode with the same constant transition between offense and defense.

Hate Mute. I mean, I like it. Just can't figure out the timing. Grouped with some cool dudes the other night though and we ran a train on some Manhunt games. It was the first time I had coordinated like that, and it was fun.

Hey, Digi, watch this.

The bonus video at the end is the funniest thing I've ever seen, I think.

Started playing multiplayer yesterday and am loving it. Got to level 40 today~

1. What characters do you like/hate and why?
Prowler due to most roofers/runners using him, I'm here to bring him justice. And the Courtesan and Thief cos yeeeaaahhh ;D Smuggler, Barber and Footpad are seconds.

The Noble and Blacksmith can go die, now 😐

2. What maps do you like/hate and why?

Can anyone post a link to the maps? Cant remember names and think im missing some.

Ok, philosophical/strategic discussion:

1. What characters do you like/hate and why?

2. What maps do you like/hate and why?

...from a purely strategic perspective, Squidiish made a great point that I've also seen: The captain and blacksmith have very obvious fast walks. I've killed people from identifying the walk, so I know it plays a part. I love the blacksmith, and obviously you can play good or bad with any persona, but it's just impossible for me to justify him strategically. Captain's a tool, so screw him.

I like the hooded people. Smuggler or Prowler. I have a hard time distinguishing them personally, so it helps me to pick one, and I think they look cool. Smuggler is probably my favorite.

Most of the others are probably viable. I feel like the Priest is easier to identify than people think, his bald head always sticks out to me. Harlequin/Helliquin as well. My gut tells me that at some point a death would occur that wouldn't otherwise happen if I played as them all the time.

...

Maps are more subjective, and probably depend on playstyle. I hate Mont St-Michael and Monterigionni, love Castle Gandolfo, and enjoy San Donato. I'm indifferent to the others. I am, however, trying to develop a strategy for Mont St.-Michael that I think will work splendidly. Just haven't had enough reps since thinking of it to test it out.

😉

All maps apart from Monteriggioni, Forli and Gandolfo, if theres ever trouble winning a match its usually in one of these places. The others have a lot of flat, open areas and a main central location which is great for controlling the pace of the match. That and those three are prone to roofers, runners and gunners.

Speaking of.. what the hells with all the roofers, runners and gunners? -__- I got shot by someone standing 10ft away. Enjoy the 100 points bud. Even some idiot who got into high profile then aimed their gun at me and my clone walking towards them... easiest stun ever.

Play some ranked matches. Sh*t gets harder most of the time, and you won't see the rookie mistakes (and rookie talents) used in most of your matches. Especially when you encounter teams, which you don't usually see in player matches.

Sometimes it's also the level you're at. Until about 20, a gun is actually a viable option in some game modes and/or with lots of roofers. There's also an achievement involving close-range gun use. I'd wager some people use it long enough to get the achievment, thus the 10-foot thing.

lol, Epic. I would totally build a comp just to do this with a team. A shame I only play like midnight, I rarely see you guys on.

Well, I haven't been on in a couple of weeks, and I won't play the team modes anyway, so yeah 😛

Still funny though.

What abilities do you guys use?

Mines the slow poison for points,(once got a 1200 for first kill, great way to start~) rapid smoke bombs for my paranoid/trigger happy/ohmygoddontshankme! moments. For perks theres blender, imo the best perk out there, and resistance for any failed kills. And if more defense is needed then I jump to mute, tis a lovely little skill.

Dude, read back like the last two pages. We've already all discussed this stuff.

¬_¬ always late..

I take back my earlier musings. F--- Charge. For me, its benefit is theoretical only. It has not translated into a more worthwhile skill than something else is almost any scenario. For me at least.

What?! Manhunt's awesome. Easily my favorite game mode. Well, whatever, I hope I still get to kill you at some point.

😊

I cannot stand any sort of team-based game modes in games, they're just simply more frustration than fun. I will only play Wanted 😛
