Lol.

Not the authority on DBZ canon but they are the authority of these threads and they placed rules into place and I'm not seeing anything in the rules about Manga being the main source, hell, they are directing us to use the Anime and even bring up posting Vids.

Maybe you should PM them and ask them to make a Manga vs thread. 💃

These anime not being used in this forum is rules that has been put into place by you all, not the mods. I just read through EVERYTHING and I'm not seeing where the anime isnt a source that we can use, the only thing that is being mentioned IS THE ANIME... I dont see anything regarding the manga.

I'm pretty sure this was brainwashed to a lot of people by Endless Mike along with a couple of other posters to downplay numerous of characters.

Please stop being butthurt that Goku is much more of a pussy than you would like to admit. 🙂

You're wrong. Just going by his powerset Goku cannot be a skyfather.

I agree, versatility wise, he isnt a skyfather level being.

Creshosk, your posts are a waste of time...

Let the professional Endless Mike handle this and just sit back and watch.

My bad Impediment, the only reason I said what I said to Creshosk is because the only thing he does is bash people...

If it wasnt for that, I PROBABLY would have responded to his post.

😕

Really?

I thought it was because you're afraid to debate with people who crush your arguments and hurt your feelings in the process.

Guess I was wrong.

I agree, the manga is the FIRST source until he gave his rights over to a different company which used the same material but added more to it.

He gave them the rights to make an adaptation, just like Marvel gave Hollywood the rights to make movie adaptations of their comics. That doesn't make the Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk etc. movies canon. In absence of an official canon policy, the original source is always the true canon.

I agree, the Galaxy did fade away, in one panel.

Panel? The scene only appeared in anime fillers, and not in the manga. There are no panels in anime. You're just embarrassing yourself now.

Buu destroying a Galaxy planet by planet, even if it took him 6 years would mean that he can fly trillions of times the speed of light since he didnt know of the Instant transmission during this time.

Except it was stated that Bibidi sealed him into the ball to transport him from planet to planet. And the whole thing is non-canon anyway.

I never said that they can fly at the speed of light because they try to conserve too much of their energy anyway during flight but combat, yes, they can fight far above that.

Prove it. I already debunked this shit in the last thread by pointing out that if they could only move that fast over short distances, they could make high travel speeds by simply moving that fast every other split second. You ignored this.

When Goku fought Yakon, he tracked him by displacement of air movements. This would have been impossible if they were anywhere close to the speed of light.

But you use metaphors when its backing up your case. Do you think Superman can destroy a planet with physical might? When you answer that, show proof if your answer is yes. I remember you posting scans not to far back where Superman stated he can destroy planetoids with his fist using it as evidence that he really can destroy a planet.

He destroyed an asteroid with enough KE to destroy the earth. He moved an object larger than the solar system. He regularly hurts people who are way tougher than planets. There's more evidence that Superman can destroy a planet than there is that Goku can.

Here...

*snip*

That doesn't say anything about canon. All it says is that characters used in battles here must originated from an anime or manga. If the OP doesn't specify, the canon version is used. In this case, that would be the manga. Using the anime doesn't help you that much anyway, since the ki blasts can be visually tracked in the anime and measured, and most of the time they're slower than real world bullets, if you want to play that way.

I never said that you didnt like Gladiator but what I am saying is that everyone that I vote for, people call me a fanboy when all in all, I provide reasoning behind EVERYONE that I vote for, not just DBZ. People are only calling me a DBZ fan because I think Goku would stomp Superman... if this was any other character Goku was against, I wouldnt be called a fanboy.

Yes you would, if that character is demonstrably superior to Goku and could easily stomp him into the ground via feats and powerset. Which is most of the characters you argue against.

It's downplaying to disallow canon sources now?

Hey, I just wrote a fanfic where Goku loses to a retarded crippled kitten with AIDS. I guess we can use that now, if you don't give a shit about canon. 🙄

This is like a person demanding the 90s X-Men cartoon be the canon refered to and not the comic books. His argument must be pretty damned weak if he requires the anime.

Pathetic.

Also: Timelapse, a concept beyong his comprehension.

Again, this is a ANIME thread, show me where it states ANYWHERE that we are only allowed to use the manga as canon source in a ANIME thread.

Again, show me Superman destroying a planet. Put the mag feat up so that we can see those humans in the background helping him pull the planet. Just because Superman fought people that destroys planet doesnt mean that he can also destroy planets. Wolverine has fought people that has thrown mountains and shifted tectonic plates... I guess that mean he is just as powerful. Show me Superman destroying something that was the size of earth.

Your arguments fail... Akira gave them rights to show what he wrote on the big screen. Its the same sh** that he already wrote but they just made it into an Anime instead of just making another book. The xmen stories doesnt have anything to do with the comic where the anime does. Example, they wrote the Superman/Batman movie directly from the comic so if you were to post that as evidence of Superman being able to do something power wise then I would agree since, well, it came directly from the comic. The only difference is, they put it on the big screen.

We see buu destroy a Galaxy in the anime... thats proof enough for me that his is a Galaxy destroyer. 💃

Its different CRESHOSK... the xmen cartoon wasnt based directly from the comics whereas the anime is exactly like the manga except with a little add ons every now and then.

Again (hope you understand this)... this is a ANIME THREAD.... ANIME... if you dont like what is said in a ANIME or on a ANIME thread "ask the mods to make a MANGA thread for you". There was nothing said about the manga in the rules, you all made this crap up to down play a character.

Would you like for me to ask the Mod for you? I'll ask him to make a manga thread for you... one moment.

None of this changes the fact that pretty much any version of Superman would beat Goku's brain's out.

Show me Goku destroying a planet first.

LOL. You think the strength of normal humans contributed in any significant way? J'onn specifically stated that they were using Superman's strength to move it. If anyone else was contributing, it was so small as to be negligible.

Just because Superman fought people that destroys planet doesnt mean that he can also destroy planets.

It does if he overwhelms their attacks and hurts them when planet destroying forces didn't.

Wolverine has fought people that has thrown mountains and shifted tectonic plates... I guess that mean he is just as powerful.

If you're talking about the Hulk, when Wolverine was first introduced he did well against him but that was before his current powerset was established as not having that kind of strength. Wolverine can fight the Hulk and not get killed due to his immortality/healing factor and adamantium skeleton. If you show me an example of Wolverine actually matching the Hulk in arm wrestling or another direct application of strength (like stopping a punch from him), then you've have an argument, but you don't.

Show me Superman destroying something that was the size of earth.

Show me Goku doing it first.

Wrong. He gave them the rights to make an adaptation. So they added fillers and scenes that were in the original. Akira had no supervision over these. In interviews he said he was often surprised at what they came up with or added in. They have nothing to do with the canon material.

The xmen stories doesnt have anything to do with the comic where the anime does.

Let's see, the X-Men movies have the same characters as the comics, the same premise, the same powers (though weaker)....

If you want to use examples where the storylines are followed, look at the Fantastic Four cartoon which followed the plots of a lot of comics, like the first arrival of Galactus. Still doesn't make the cartoon canon.

Example, they wrote the Superman/Batman movie directly from the comic so if you were to post that as evidence of Superman being able to do something power wise then I would agree since, well, it came directly from the comic. The only difference is, they put it on the big screen.

No, the difference is that it's an adaptation made by animators and is not part of the DC comics canon. It is completely different.

We see buu destroy a Galaxy in the anime... thats proof enough for me that his is a Galaxy destroyer. [/B]

Then you're a troll since you're ignoring the fact that it is contradicted by the canon manga written by Toriyama. Toriyama had nothing to do with that scene in the anime and it was created by someone else.

No one in DBZ can destroy more than a planet.

Its different CRESHOSK... the xmen cartoon wasnt based directly from the comics whereas the anime is exactly like the manga except with a little add ons every now and then.

A lot of the storylines in the cartoon were taken directly from the comics.

No, you're wanking by using non-canon material. The manga is the only canon. The anime is an ADAPTATION, made by different people entirely.

Would you like for me to ask the Mod for you? I'll ask him to make a manga thread for you... one moment.

The manga is the original source, thus it overrides all other sources in absence of an official canon policy. This is the way the rules work, this is the way they have always worked.

To be fair, this was the explanation for how Wonder Woman, blinded, was able to counter Flash. I also brought up Val Armorr (a.k.a. Karate Kid of the Legion of Super Heroes) before, who's basically the embodiement of PIS, holding his own with the likes of Superboy or the Tornado Twins, yet not having a hint of speedster ability.

That's the problem with trying to calculate power levels: Comic book writers often get their facts wrong, or create arbitrary feats because they seem cool without really considering the science behind it. (Although considering we're talking about characters moving at ftl, which even if possible would cause tons of problems... How can you see if you're moving faster then light, for example? 😛 )

So I guess you cant show me Superman destroying a planet. I dont need to show you Goku destroying one since DBZ is based off of power levels and people with MUCH lower power levels has destroyed planets. You see, that same rule doesnt apply to Superman and his crew and hell, people in his tier in DC also doesnt have the feats of destroying planets; so again, your arguments is moot.

Mike what you continue to fail to realize is "this is a anime thread, not manga, anime". Even though the manga is the original, the anime is the title of this forum... not manga. You can not discredit anything that is posted in a ANIME FORUM 😕 ; this isnt hard to understand Mike. Thats like me going to a comic book forum posting nothing but movies of the characters on that forum. Now again, if you want to debate manga, ask the Mod to create a Manga thread for you so that you can stop discrediting Anime feats on a ANIME thread. 🤣

Mike, put the scan up of Superman and the mag feat so that we can look at it... I want to see that solar system moving strength that the humans in that scan have. Would you like for me to post it for you mike? I guess you missed the part where the humans was pulling also?

Superman can hurt Goku; Goku CAN'T hurt Superman. Superman can survive in space; Goku can't survive in space. Superman wins

At least you aren't putting him up against Dr.Manhattan, Tengen Toppen Gurren Lagan, or Galactus.

LOL... Goku cant hurt Superman? I can prove this but if you want to debate this... PM me.

I agree... Goku cant survive in space.

Do you want to know what I have on my side to help me out?

Even though its non-canon, I can post Goku STOMPING Superman and it was shown to the World. You all dont have this luxury... 🙄 and the thing about this noncanon fight that was shown to the world is that Goku beat Superman with one punch.
