i already went over why the moon feats aren't billion ton strength feats. Honestly, there's no way Superman can lift 500 million tons (one thousand empire state buildings)... a billion tons is absurd on a PC level.
Also a billion tons is child's play by PC standards.
Well, that's vague. Eh, i don't have a problem with being wrong, just give me a little more than "i dont agree".
Originally posted by Omega VisionCheck my post, i never denied it happened, i just explained why it doesn't count as a billion ton strength feat. Just think about how much a billion tons is for sec...
So you're just denying what happened on panel?

i wasnt sure it was the right post, so didnt want to waste time answering something that was pointless.
no offence.
Originally posted by Omega Vision1/80 of the moon's weight under the Earth gravitational pull, is 1 billion tons... that's what they moved. Divide that by 3 and the most you can say Superman has pulled is, 333 million tons... that's via flight, not lifting strength. To my understanding, for it to count as a consistent measuret of a character's strength, they have to be able to lift it over their head.
1/80th of the Moon. Chump change by High Herald standards.
Please give me an example of Superman lifting 333 million tons, over his head.

Do you still disagree with what i wrote?

what you wrote there? yes. even if i didn't, he still has higher feats than that. like moving at least half of the earth's weight.
flight has never been consistently stated to augment superman's strength more than the average person's back or legs do, which seems to be the problem, as some think it adds some huge measure of strength to his base levels.
non-PC Superman moved the Earth? scan?
Flying most certainly does give people greater strength. The ability to defy gravity... aka, not be affected by Earth's force on your body, is a big step up from just lifting something over your head while standing flat-footed on the ground. basically, what you're saying is that, Superman can stack 1000 skyscrapers on top of each other and lift that above his head. I don't have a problem believing it...
just show me and example.

him and hal jordan did it in JLA 29 or 30, i think. the one with the star-eater guy.
not every character that can fly has increased strength.
what possible object could he lift while standing on solid ground that weighs billions of tons?
Dude, flying augments everyone's strength. If they don't have superstrength, but can fly, they are indeed stronger in flight, than they are when standing on the ground... it's science. You can dispute it, only if you can prove basic scientific prinicples don't apply to comic book character's.
You see, therein lies a huge problem. Just because there aren't objects on Earth that weigh a billion tons for him to lift, doesn't mean you can just claim he can do it. If that's the case, why stop at giving him a billion ton strength range? Let's just proclaim that Superman's maximum lifting strength is 10 trillion tons... Basically, he can put the Moon on his finger and spin that sumbitch like a basketball.
It's been made pretty clear that you need feats to back up an assertion or else it's just a fanboy lie. All you need is one feat with Superman lifting 1 billion tons clear over his head, post that scan and it's a legit claim.

so you're talking about mass and velocity, then, as opposed to strength?
you're asking for one where he isn't flying. you don't see the lunacy of such a request?
