Thanos could easily fight in a sun too.
So thanos one shots him due to a much weaker thanos two shotting him.

I'm more of a technical detailed person. I like to view the details more than just faulty general principles. To me it is clear that Thor has the tools to beat Thanos. He has the power to hurt Thanos and he has defensive capabilities to protect himself.
Thanos is in for a fight, no matter how you slice it.
