There are a number of people here that (seemingly) geniunely believe that Thanos is significantly more powerful than Thor...To those that believe this, I ask you the following questions; and please back up your answers to these questions with feats...not with your own personal opinions:
Thors top feat of strength is (IMHO) when he proved capable of lifting a portion of the World Serpents mass under his own power without being amped...does Thanos have any strength feat that equals or surpasses this?
Thors top energy projection feat is arguable. Some say his top is using the God Blast to shatter Exitars inner dome, while others believe its when the God Blast proved capable of actually harming Galactus, and there is even a subset that believe its when the God Blast proved capable of stopping the Juggernaut (thus overcoming the enchantment of an Elder God)...so my question parallels my 1st; what feat of energy projection does Thanos have that equals or surpasses what Thor has done with the God Blast?
and imo, the exitar godblast was the greatest of them all since it actually shattered mjolnir to the point that thor mourned it's demise, even though he wrapped his asgardian belt of strength around it the hammer still shattered from the power of his immortal lifeforce channeling through it.

too bad its still canon. plus its all on panel proof as stated by the OP. either you post actual on panel strength and power feats for Thanos that tops Thor's feats or Thor wins by default. 😛

dude thor already fought thanos. THor had the PG. Lets say the PG wasnt very great, its still fair to say it increases thor atleast 25%. So thor at least 125% fought thanos and lost. Now when it come to feats yes Thor has more. due to his appearances. But, thanos has been shown as thors superior in combat so ill stick to thanos beating him

guys, characters with fewer apearences (Thanos) and not heroes in perticular usually have fewer quantifyable feats than heroes (Thor) who actually have to use strength more often in non fight situations (in order to save people for example) and most importantly they get a monthly book which increses the posibilities of such feats.
now characters like Thanos, Darkseid, Despero etc prove their strength usually in their fights with heroes and this should be enough for the readers.
In that manner the Thing let's say has greater strength feats than the Stranger (a being of unlimited power). That shouldn't make him stronger in our eyes.
Case in point, Thanos has shown to be convincingly above characters like Thor, Surfer, Hulk etc...
There is nothing wrong with this (and this comes from a Thor fan).
