Does Batman have any good action like in Public Enemies?

Really? Because I thought that fight was garbage. The movie's final fight was better to me, because the comic felt like another "Darkseid isn't really that dangerous" fight. The movie, despite the silly 'space' solution, had an absolutely incredible fight at the end, possibly one of the best animation has had to offer in god knows how long.

Exactly DS is death, any fight involving him that doesn't end in the other guy getting beaten or seriously maimed isn't a DS fight. You either have him winning, scoring a stalemate, or if he loses takes out the other guy in the process. This fight went with stalemate BFR, the comics fight went with ultra tame defeat, it's clear which is better. This was more of what you expect from the most evil despot in the universe.

So I take it Darkseid looked properly stronger than Clark in this movie?

Good.

I think the issue was that Supergirl put up a better fight than Kal El.

Haven't seen it yet. Will do so soon.

According to Pr the director was phemail. Let's continue to blame her.

finally watched this.. liked it but could a been better

For the most part, yeah. I really don't like it when they make Darkseid seem weak. As previously said, he's the ultimate threat of the universe. That final tier of power in which Superman will always be tested by. No matter how much Superman develops in his strength, so should Darkseid. His whole existence is training in darkness and evil. And when Superman does win, it needs to be a struggle.

A good example of that to me:

^that was a good way for darkseid to lose, but then they shat on it when Superman revealed in justice league that he was holding back on darkseid. since it takes place in the same continuity...well damn. darkseid doesn't look like such a threat does he?

I'm pretty certain that's not what he meant. He gave it his all against Darkseid in every fight. It's everything on earth he held back. And to be honest, I think that alone kind of demeans any adventure he's had.
But to be fair to Darkseid as well, he came out of that super punch completely unharmed, and would've won regardless.

And before that Darkseid already beat Superman twice, Superman barely won that round, next round he had a roof fall ontop of him and couldn't get out, next DS got revenge and won again in Justice League.

Guys,

Clark beat his ass here:

And all he had to say was that he would win this time because he wouldn't stop. Darkseid was left in a bloody mess and couldn't even get out from under some rubble after Clark beat his ass.

And here:
YouTube video
Supes admits right there that he is going to cut loose on Darkseid for the first time. And he made it look easy. And that was a Darkseid that was more powerful than ever due to fusing with Braniac's tech or some shit like that. Darkseid was utterly outclassed in strength and speed and the only thing that would have given him the win in the end was his new OP'd 'Agony Matrix' maneuver or whatever.

In the end, Darkseid was a chump physically next to Clark in the animated series. Hell, even in the newest pen and paper RPG handbook from August, they give Darkseid a lower strength rating than Superman, Cap and Black Adam(They all have a 19, Darkseid has a 18).

Sad but true. Herald levelers shouldn't be able to spit shine Darkseid's shoes, but they can do much more than that nowadays.

He's Superman. You have to piss him off for him to beat down Darkseid.

Even in the comics Superman letting go of his inhibitions was what gave him an edge in their fights.

plus, in the finale fight of JLU, Darkseid had the edge for like 90% of the fight. Superman only challenged him when he caught his second wind.

Even though Sups finally unleashed the beast on DS, he was still able to shrug it off and unleash that Agony Matrix and was walking around just fine. Sups put a bigger beating on DS in the first Superman cartoon.

And in the movie, Bats seemed to imply that Kara could be stronger than Sups. Might explain why she dished it out better than Sups did.

My biggest gripe was why did Wonder Woman think it made sense to try to kidnap Kara and have...whoever the multiplying flaming fist chick beat Sups up instead of...I dunno...asking Sups outright? Or was it just a ploy to get Kara to unleash her powers and wreck up the park? Either way, seemed wasteful.

Darkseid sounded like a faggy boy.

I knew who it was when I heard his voice. Bad choice of actor.

I was disappointed that Batman didn't get his licks in (DS "fight"😉. He did in the book.

This movie sucked.

Why do you think it sucked? I enjoyed it.

I wanted to see superman and WW go at it over Supergirl
