I would have loved that.

That would have been sweet. Maybe they're saving it for later. Maybe have an update centered around Captain Atom and his Monarch persona.

Lol, Larfleeze.

Yeah. I'm playing now (off from work with a lower back pull) and the first thing I noticed after the update was Xmas music, Xmas trees, and carolers for me to harass.

Just spotted Larfleeze in Chinatown. He was singing Jingle Bells and stealing gifts from crying children while break dancing on the roof of a skyscraper, then flew away.

Hilarious.

😂

i did the "find the presents" quest, but don't know what to do with the holly.

Go to the Womb right by hal is a vending machine you can use the holly to get some nice rings

did the aquaman mission yesterday with my superman character, respecced to have a staff as his main weapon/fighting style.

Still no Aquaman staff or gear. Currently levelling up my GL; maybe he'll have more luck.

I have to say I'm lovin DC right now (comics and game). I just wish they had more content and more powers. Whats really disappointing is that in the Marvel MMO you won't be able to create your own character you have to play as a hero, that sux.

I just created a new concept character. He's a Vathloan (black Kryptonians from Vathlo Island), and I'm going to have him have all the Kryptonian powers as well as the psionic powers (telekinesis, illusions, etc). Should be a pretty high end DPS when I'm done.

I was thinking of doing something like that but not into Superman mythos that much.

Have you guys done any t1, t2 or raids yet?

Neither am I, really (well, I'm not a Superman fan, but I like the concept of the Kryptonian society).

The background on my character is that he's a 'villain' that hates Superman because Jor-El's descendant (from 10 generations back) lobbied to have his family line purged from the planet as their abilities were scene as a threat to the social order (since they were the true direct descendants of Rao but were not recognized for it due to their being from Vathlo Island, and their birthright was stolen by the House of El, who were many generations ago religious zealots). Some males in his bloodline were born with their full psionic abilities intact (unlike most Kryptonians whose powers are latent under a Red Sun), and with his powers enhanced to godlike "Rao" level under a yellow sun. Basically he was a soldier fighting off world when his powers manifested under the yellow sun of a planet they were invading, he became a war hero, and upon his return word of his abilities spread and he was 'executed' due to his being an abomination, but in actuality he was put in stasis and experimented on up until Krypton exploded many generations afterwards. Adds an extra element of RPG to gameplay when you give your character a background story. Plus gives me incentive to beat down Superman, so it's win-win.

Yea I think I agree, Kryptonian society is interesting.

Not bad. I got some good concepts but not sure if I want writers nicking it.

What sort of missions can you get as a villain? The only sort of villain I could be is like Catwoman (ie Robin Hoodesque type villain), I can't be somebody that exploits or harms innocent people.

I had that same issue when I made my last character, who is based on Jason Todd. I went with him being a hero, as he's still using guns, so in my head I can justify it.

The bigger difference in the game is there tends to be ALOT less villians so less people to group with. Villians tend to pvp alot more since it takes less people to form up for that rather then pve game content.

Well, my mentor is Luthor, so I've done some pretty evil things so far. I think if you pick Joker as your mentor you get more street level crimes to commit like theft and beating up rival gang thugs, but you eventually have to do missions for Lex and Circe as well which involves mutating and/or stealing the souls of innocent people and massacring some people.

Good wholesome villainy.

So far my favorite mission was going into the Daily Planet to rescue Lex, then being teleported to the Watchtower and having to fight Steel, Zatanna, some random made up hero, and then finally Superman before extorting Lex and becoming a top tier member of The Society.

MF for your kryptonian what tree are you using mental then frost breath and what I forget the name laser vision?

Yeah, I'm filling out the mental [telekinesis] tree (haven't really put points into the illusion side yet) and I added heat vision and freeze breath once I hit level 9. I might add the sonic shout also, plus x-ray vision (though I'm not sure whether that ability is worth the power point since I only get 15 to work with and it doesn't offer anything offensively).

I'm also going to make him a master of 'kryptonian' martial arts (since he's a soldier) so he'll use all of the hand held martial weapons (I started him with staff, but will eventually open dual wield, one handed, and two handed weapons, as well as brawling and martial arts skill trees), and maybe rifles. So far his combo system is nasty. The telekinesis attack that levitates a target and then launches a nearby object (for example, a car or dumpster) into it chains really well with the staff attacks and allows me to control large groups off attackers in close quarters, plus he can fire energy shurikens. When I was fighting Supergirl I hit her with a combo where I landed 11 staff strikes, tossed my energy shurikens at her then tk'd her up into the air which caused an orange barrel to fly across the room and slam into her (which powered me up), and followed that up with my heat vision at point blank range. It was sweet. I got him to level 15 last night (day two of his creation). He's gonna make for an impressive level 30. His offensive output is ridiculous. I dropped a level 28 who tried to blind side me when I was doing the Gorilla Mission outside of Star Labs. Felt really good to not be at full power yet and still be a threat to higher level heroes. I did get jumped several times over by the Bizarro bounty though.

For TK, i recommend thought bubble and mass levitation. Pyrokinesis is good too.

Thanks for the advice, Riggs.

Np. Thought Bubble works on bosses, I used it to freeze, even for a short time, the likes of Sinestro, Mannheim and the Manhunter, which buys you valuable seconds to get your attacks in or use a potion.

Plus, if you're a controller, it does some nice DOT too. It still damages in Damage Role, just less-so.

Btw, for anyone interested:
