For a long time yeah. It wasn't until he got a perfect opportunity to kick him out that he did.

And guys trust me: no one wants this crap to be false more than me. Zuko is one of my favorite characters period and to see this happen is horrible. But it would honestly take some bullshit writing to fix it and Ursa would have to look like a horrible person that this show isn't implying at all.

Granted Mako is a horrible person and the show doesn't seem to know that either. So who cares. I'm still bitter.

Edit: Well actually if the whole thing turned out to be a Gambit of Ozai's to ensure that the kid he wanted to inherit the throne did then I guess maybe it could work. But that is beyond reaching lol.

I'm willing to have Ursa antagonized a bit if it will make everything A-Okay again with Zuko's lineage. Also as it stand the episode about Zuko's conflicting bloodline doesn't mean anything right now since he apparently isn't related to Sozin at all.

I'm not because my God that would make Ursa a horrible person.

Know why? Assuming she lied to get Ozai to throw her and Zuko out then guess what? That means Azula was RIGHT. She would have been playing favorites.

Ursa: (With this me and my son can finally be free! Oh wait what about Azula? Well I don't need more than one mouth to feed when we get exiled and Azula is kind of annoying. Wanting attention and shit. **** off kid.)

My theory?

Its all Azula.

Some.....how. She looked way too sinister in that flashback. That proves it!

where is this adopted stuff coming from?

The canon comics that fill in the gaps between Airbender and Korra.

ah, i guess i need to read that crap.

Are we sure it's zuko and not azula who's adopted?

The letter specifically says 'Our Son Zuko.' And she had no chance to see whatever his name is after marrying Ozai so Azula needs to be hers.

I would but hey the creators somehow decided the make Zuko a bastard was a good idea. I they want to clean it up they have to do it somehow. Making Ursa the bad guy in all of this is a way out I guess.

Also I wouldn't buy this being all Azula considering that would put her a Batman tier of prepping shit and she was only 8 years old at the time I think.

Now if Azula was the adopted one...

I honestly would not know what to say about that. 😐

Azula has to be Ozai's. Ursa's boyfriend disappeared into the forest, there was no way they could sexy time after Zuko had been born.

Yes, but there's clearly something going on with that letter. Even after Ozai said he knew about the letters Ursa replied with 'Don't be a fool' when he mentioned Zuko not being his. Despite it clearly saying in the letter that Zuko isn't his son. Either the letter was switched or something else is going on that we're not being shown. I'm just banking on Azula because Azula.

And Azula seeming manipulates Ursa in The Search part 2, but who knows how deeply it went?????

Talking hypothetical lol.

The sad thing is Eragon did the same thing. But better.

No it didn't. :I

It just copied Star Wars and then got called on it by everyone until he changed it so Obi-Wan was Lukes dad instead.

But Murtagh, the bad son, isn't really all that bad a guy. And Eragon, the good son, is morally questionable(and this is intentional based on the series, not just a fan interpretation).

Certainly better than this garbage.

Even garbage is better than the blatant plagiarism in Paolini's work.

I'm sorry but I seems off putting for an 8 year old to think and make plans like Lex Luthor. Either way the authors have a real mess on there hands trying to deal with this shit. Not saying that I would like for Ursa to be an antagonist but maybe she was doing this to spite Ozai from not letting her have sexy time with (insert name here).

Also on an unrelated note, what the hell is the deal with Aang and Katara's relationship. I mean she spends the entire series ducking and dodging Aang's feelings and when she finally reciprocates them, they're suddenly acting like a married couple.

It doesn't have to be a master plan. She could have done it out of pure spite or for the evils just to **** with him.

Bad writing is how.
