Isn't it more connecting with Raava as well though, and that's where the power comes from? IDK, I think she should still be plenty powerful. Wan was. She'd beat Ozai IMO.

This sucks man. The best moments of the Season were during the Wan flashback. And I really wanted to see more of Aang's past lives. Do they think removing the option off of the table means we won't still compare Korra to them when she's being shitty? Meh.

The fact that it was too preoccupied with it's own scope. The fact that many ideas were rushed out too quickly and few got the proper breathing room they needed. The fact that things seemed to only work a certain way because they just could(the tree, Jinora's spirit power, Vaatu removing Rava despite them being "bonded forever"😉. The fact that Asami was sidelined like a champ by the show. The fact that the villain is the worst the series has seen in terms of motivation(how will destroying the world make things better for the spirits? Vaatu corrupted them for the lulz).

Meh, Vaatu is some crazy powerful spirit of darkness, him removing Raava was fine IMO.
But I pretty much agree with you on the rest. Specifically the need for more information on the tree and Jinora's spirit thing. Both of those just seemed like the writers were pulling random plot points out of their asses.

True. I guess I just would have liked more buildup too the tree and, more specifically, the ability to become a giant spirit before we saw it happen. I've just never been a fan of heroes gaining some previously unheard of but enormously powerful ability at the eleventh hour.

Also increasing the scale is the only way I can see them making a threat for Korra. Either that or finally give us a unknown Airbending antagonist for Korra and friends to deal with. Or Make Asami go rouge due to being tired of all the bullshit that she has to go through. Wow I just made 3 possibilities....heck 4 if the writers do something with Varrick.
Doubt that souls of dead people that ended up in spirit world can leave any time they want.
Also Asami turning evil sounds cool but highly unlikely, that'd sort of ruin her character and all the character development she went through. If she was so easily drivven by rage she would've just joined her father at the end of book 1.
