yep, this one was definitely worse than the Aang Deus ex Machina and that's saying something. Also I don't know what is with me wanting fights on an epic scale recently but I still found this one lacking not because it wasn't cool but because it was short and that stupid hax thing Jinora did. Also I almost feel sorry for Bolin but he was kind of a jerk the past 3 episodes so...Oh assuming there's a season 3 how in the heck are they going to up the scale on this?
I didn't know there was going to be two more episodes yesterday. Watched it today online. Wish I hadn't.
Plot device after plot device after plot device just to keep the story moving. Mehtastic giant monster fight. Korra is also the worst Avatar in history and the link to the past lives was one of the coolest parts of the Avatar. I'm going to pretend Korra never happened and the TLA was the end of the series.
Korra's made me realize why some people hate female protagonists. It seems to be difficult to not make them suck. Nothing but shitty choices, crying, drama and self-pity. And I was so looking forward to a more physical, ass-kicking female Avatar. Now I just miss Aang way more.
I remember when glowing Avatar eyes was a sign that shit was going to get done and asses were going to be kicked. You knew something epic was about to go down. With Korra, at this point, it's just a sign she's going to get beat up. Glad Wan didn't have this issue.

That giant spirit fight was so lazy imo. I'd have much rather preferred a greatly choreographed bending battle on a large scale.
Fyi, if it wasn't for Tenzen's daughter, she'd have lost. I was half expecting Ginorra to merge with Raava to become the new Avatar. That would have been hilarious but even for someone who's grown to dislike Korra, it'd have been a slap to the face.
Man, I feel so bad for the next Avatar who can only talk to Korra for advice. Poor bastard.
Ugh.. Head is spinning. So many things I don't understand...
1) so now anyone can meditate in the tree and turn his spirit into Godzilla? What the hell was that about? And if thats the case who needs avatars?
2) how did Jinora bring Raava back to life so early? How did she do all the things she did?
3) is Aang and other spirits lost forever? I mean I got their message "be your own person, don't look back bla bla" but still WTF???
As for Korra being useless.. she did win, wasn't perfect but still a victory and that's what counts. Also she did beat Vaatu with min efforts before it fused with her uncle.. And if Korra managed to do that then Aang (whose avatar state from the last book was a lot more kick ass than Korra's) would probably make Vaatu flee for its life and lock itself in that tree lol Seriously not Wan nor Korra kicked that much ass in AS.

Most of what you said is on point. Except the last part. Wan kicked a ton of ass. Don't you blaspheme the first Avatar!
