That two... Gundam... said the same thing earlier. As you well know, many peope view the feat as I do. Why offer to descontruct something and prove the majority of people wrong, and then go.. i'm not wasting my time lol. You full well know a lot of people have the same view of the feat, which according to you is wrong, thus enlighten us.
X2

Ut oooo that's 4 now. Plus all the other people who according to you view the feat the wrong way.

^ When I get home, I'll do it. Or you could just read the pages I referenced and find out for yourself.

I think Banner will prove to be #1 in terms of smarts in the MU.

it would make sense of the Cho thing about a part of Banner always calculating the angles and trajectories to prevent Hulk from causing accidental deaths when on a rampage/in a throw-down.

"Banner Tech" has consistently been pawning Reed (and recently Doom too!), ever since Banner was forced to resort to using his brains rather than hiding behind The Hulk...

anway, as The Hulk once told Juggernaut: Hulk The Smartest One There Is!

seriously though, prior to the focus on Banner, I would have put Doom #1 (more of an aggressive personality, so he pushes himself more and so finds new, higher levels of ability), Reed second (too removed and engrossed in abstractions to fully utilise his brains - too one-dimensional) and Banner 3rd (from stuff prior to FOTH).

in DC ... I go with Bruce ... Socrates was a pederast too! ✅

Uhmmmmmm.... ODG.. What happened?

Latveria>U.S.?

😂

Hmm... in the comics they state Wakanda as being more advanced than the U.S. So I guess Latveria could be too...

Personally I think that Mr. T is more intelligent then either Bruce Wayne or Lex Luthor. Not more cunning but he has more raw IQ.

Then why was Hannibal the team leader?

Pym demonstrates the deductive reasoning skills that made him one of the eight smartest guys in the world:

Also, have we forgotten that Reed invented a science to predict the future with frightening accuracy?

Then why is everyone there running around with a spear and no pants?

basilisk: You deserve a 👆 for that.

Got home from work at 11:30 PM. Did laundry. Read Doomwar #1. Went to sleep. I did upload the scans though, so maybe later. Depends also on if I decide on the short version or the long version.

No it doesn't, chess is a learned skill and excelence at it does not entail a higher IQ a priori. Specially since chess is only connected to spacial tinking and some logic and the concept of IQ encompasses several other cognitive faculties (but not all). The best chess players in the world are not necessarily the most inteligent people in the world. In fact, they probably aren't. Extremely acomplished people in several different intelectual fields might be terrible players because they lack practice or the particular cognitive faculties employed by chess.

Intelligence is the ability to apply knowledge whether it is logic or creavity. If you just have knowledge and you do not know how to apply your intelligence your intellect will be a doormat. Inventors apply they knowledge via creativity. Someone with a good logical mind would know what the next conclusion would during an event. The same with people that are street smarts they have understading of they environment or street they know the system so they would be able to deduce an undercover cop.

You are not wrong, but your reply has no relation whatsoever to what I posted.

What i am trying to imply is that playing chess involes a lot of intellectual skills. Chess players use they intellect for different reason.

I think a party chess is used in comics (and other medias) to more or less show the clash of two intellects, the chess party itself is a metaphor for the 2 intellects trying to beat each other. That's why you see a lot of times a chessplate when someone plans his moves against someone else even if it makes absolutely no sense because people don't move like chess figures and you can't plan your real plan like draws in party of chess. IIRC Loki recently used that again (not sure though).

Frightening inaccuracy would be the better choice of words
Then why is everyone there running around with a spear and no pants?

Well, it is more healthy then sit on the coach with burger in jeans...

I always wondered who was the smartest between
Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic)
Dr. Doom
Hank McCoy (Beast)
Black Panther
Peter Parker (Spider-Man)
Bruce Wayne (Batman)
Tony Stark (Iron-Man)
Would love to add Thanos to the mix, i've seen him use brains over brawn alot, but not sure if its fare cause he's a cosmic being.

Feel free to add scans to back up your argument, no scanner for me.

Yes, but my point is that being a better chess player does not, in principle, make you any smarter than players who are not as good as you.

That's a common allegory to ilustrate how strategists or leaders manipulate their 'pieces', allies and underlings, in a confrontation.

The game between richards and stark was just a literal game that shows stark is a better chess player, not that he is more intelligent.
