I doubt a cameraman would be able to save an animal say from a Lion or crocodile...chances are he would die...we're talking about situations where your not gonna get mauled but are helping someone out who you can help out. We're not saying jump in front of a bullet, we're saying help a guy who's choking...there's a difference.

I do find that quite creepy, and I am not very happy with the treatment humans give to a large number of animals, however there are some philosophical differences between humans and other animals.

Well, there are differences, that you can yell "lalala I don't believe it" doesn't make them vanish. And even if there weren't your behaviour would also be sickening if done to an animal.
I agree that some people deserve less sympathy than many animals, however, decent humans who happen to have diabetes do not belong to that group in any non-psychopathic belief system.
i dont mistreat animals. i like them and am very kind as i am to many ppl mostly toward the younger kids who are not yet warped by society.
i dont care for many ppl i do look at ppl and assess them whether i would help them or not usually i wouldnt.
that doesnt mean i am not nice nor i wouldnt help a good person when i recognize it... like a bunch of bullies beating up a small kid for no reason other then to be mean.
i'm complicated.

like i said in the past, i dont think some ppl should be alive or procreate due to whatever it is they suffer from. that doesnt mean i will kill them or stop them as much as i want to, i just wont interfere. that doesnt mean that i wouldnt be there for "my" friends "my" family.
i just wouldnt be there for a random stranger nor would i interfere for his bid at survival whether its to stop him or help him
