Honestly if they weren't tangible 100% of the time and could become intangible at will then the Hollow that Chad beat up would have to have been rather stupid not to simply phase through Chad's punches and through the telephone pole. That sequence suggests they're invisible but still tangible. That or as I said before the Hollow was too dumb to remember he could go intangible rather than getting hit by the telephone pole.
I just don't really understand how in-world all these regular souls, Hollows and Shinigami are running around tangible but invisible. It seems silly. Regular souls would be bumping into people all the time, they could write messages to their families, they've basically become invisible people rather than dead people?

I can't remember when the Chad/Hollow thing happened but was the Hollow attacking Chad?

Also that image stretching out the page is really f*cking annoying.

Edit: Oh yay, new page.

It sounds silly to me too but then Bleach is a silly show. 😛

The Hollow ignored Chad mostly. Chad got a lucky shot in at first and floored the invisible but tangible Hollow and then proceeded to pummel the empty air before Rukia guided him in the right direction.

What's known about this Chad cat? There could be a reasonable explanation that just wasn't revealed until later in the storyline. Beating someone with a telephone pole isn't exactly normal.

Can they pass through walls and stuff?

Chad is part Hollow. It described his powers and it stated that he was part Hollow and what normal human can beat down a hollow with a telephone pole. What normal human arms can transform and shoot out blast.

Can someone confirm this one way or the other?

I thought when Ichigo took Rukias Death powers it spread it into others like Innue, Chad practibly everyone.

That's why they have powers.

They had powers that were awakened by the "will of the Hogyoku" that was exerting itself from within Rukia. However, Chad didn't manifest said powers until later.

Yeah that's what I thought thanks.

At any rate, it wouldn't change anything. Even if Chad had the power to see the hollow then (he didn't) it doesn't change that the hollow was hit with a telephone pole. This isn't a zanpakuto, it isn't made of spirit particles. It's just a regular telephone pole, no matter who wields it.

He poured his spiritual pressure into it.
When a being touches an object some of themselves go into it.
Chad had the boost from the Hogyoku.

Just like how Shinigami's training swords transform.
Just a thought. Not official.

Chad hadn't been altered by the Hogyoku at this point, though. He couldn't even see ghosts, let alone manipulate spiritual power. So that's just speculation and very flawed speculation at that.

Looked into it further.

Rukia actually explains why normal people can touch Hollows and Shinigami http://manga.bleachexile.com/bleach-chapter-9-page-16.html

Bleh.

I'm done with this thread; first people started mixing different aspects of Wonder Woman's mytho's to better suite their counter arguments and now people are trying to use that bullshit CIS logic. Okay sure, but if we're going to stick by the rules, we need to use current Wonder Woman... and as i understand that chick can't even fly and isn't nearly as strong as the classic version.

😬 you sound like a big crybaby... I just wanna find out who actually wins this VS, I don't care much at all for both sides, I don't choose a side unless I'm pretty sure a side lost . If anything I'd like Bleach to win cause I like that crappy manga better, then a ancient super hero I don't know anything about.

I just think CIS shouldn't have been on in this VS match in the first place.

With CIS on I don't even think WW would wanna speedblitz or turn any character mush.

Well that settles that.

Partly.

They apparently can also pass through solid objects if I'm not mistaken (based on what's been presented). They have some method of density manipulation.

The mechanism behind that isn't known (it's never been used in battle). My gut impulse is to say it's some form of magic or ability that allows them to do so when they will it to happen. But tbh, there aren't even enough cases where it happened to know for sure. When hollows go through walls, they usually bust the walls up.

You actually want to find out? All you do is troll.

^ which is why her post's have been ignored since page 1. 😛

Was Chad defeating the hollow based before the first episode. Because that's when the power got released.
And I mentioned it was an observation not a fact so don't act like a prat.

Sado didn't interact all that much with Rukia until he fought that Hollow, so there'd been no point in it altering him until then since Aizen already stated that the Hogyoku acts on the user's wishes.

Guys, keep the personal digs out of it.
