DDD, just post the script you're talking about and this can all be put to rest. As of now, all you've done is give your interpretation of the events without providing any actual proof.

Goku (circa, end of Dragon Ball) vs. Wonder Woman (pre-power loss)

-fight takes place on Themyscira.
-fight starts with combatants 50 yards away from each other.
-no bracers, lasso or tiara for Wondy.
-no energy projection for Goku.
-no PIS/CIS.

k, I will look and see if I can find a copy of it online that I can post.

on a side note, the novelizations of the movies are very different in many ways the the movies. I just thought people should know this. They add and alter many of the scenes which contradicts the movies, so i not entirely sure, were they fall on the cannon scale. I notice they were brought up early, just thought I give the heads up.

is cartoon star wars canon?

I mean movie mace wasn't that impressive at all...def below spiderman

but cartoon mace would murder rape spiderman

"murder rape"? mmm

but how do you reconcile the movie version w/ the cartoon version

one is vastly more impressive than the other

it's like loebforce *shrugs*

they were supose to be moving at inhuman speeds, but thats simply hard to achieve with live action movies. Highlander runs into the same problem.

you could do fast speeds...superman did it, matrix did it, etc

the cartoon version jumped ridiculous heights iirc, and his saber skill was superior too...taking on hundreds of enemies at once iirc

have no idea what that means

original movies couldent do it however. Which is likely why he dident do it, in the new episodes. He probly assume people would get the gist of it when they see them easily deflecting lazers. also if he had them do it in the new movies he risk a giant back lash.

harder to show in live action. also they jumped super high in the movies, they also display great sabre skills and though not 100's, because frankly it be to hard to show, yoda and obi wan take out a number of guys soldier out side the jedi temple.,

also You asked if it was cannon I told you. I don't really care if the movies don't seem as impessive, it all cannon.

someone new writes a character the way they want them to act/perform regardless of character/parameters tropes already set

cartoon clone wars mace would eat cg and movie mace windu's fighting together w/ a platoon of clone troopers for breakfast...but all are canon to mace somehow

you've read owaw and hulk right?

i don't think there would be a problem with pre-DBZ characters; there are actual, quantifiable feats in Dragon Ball... it's not until the "Z" is added when people start power-scaling and issues arise.

and what of hulk? oh but of coarse, he's not superman 😛

😂

it's nothing to do with that.

loeb < 2005 was actually a stable, well respected writer. he wrote hush, owaw, and one of the better characterised Supermans since the crisis in 86. He was well loved critically and fan-wise.

then 2005 hit, and understandably, his work began to suffer big time. its sad, and as i said understandable, but i really think people need to judge the work based on it's own merits and not the author's latest work.

well yeah, hush and other works were sick, "post crisis" loeb was a sort of different guy, but owaw superman still rocks the force bud

it's not the story really but the way he directs displays of power..actually the both of them (loeb/mcginess? *phuck*) combined are the ones who like vibe off each other and induce power ups
