Greg was finishing up his last class of the day. Geology 212 was boring. He thought it would be relevant to him considering he could affect the weather but all the class was about was various forms of rocks and dirt. Basically a note taking class. As long as he took notes or asked someone else for theirs, this would be an easy A.
With an errant thought wondering back to Austrailia, Greg remembered how the sun felt on his skin. With temps in the upper 90's and on again off again humidty in his hometown of Sydney, Greg got a surge of homesickness. And before he could get his feelings in check, his powers activated.
The classroom began to get very stuffy and the air became moist and hot. His skin started to get sticky and he saw that the people around him began to sweat. Everyone was looking around with stupified expressions on their faces and was using anything they could as a fan.
Great job, ya dipstick, Greg thought to himself. He knew that he had to keep a tight reign on his emotions, lest anything like this happened. His ability to affect the weather seemed to be tied to his emotions. Anytime he felt any form of just about anything, and if he was absolutly passionate in those emotions, the weather would reflect what he was feeling.
But that was old news. Greg had been a student of the school for three years now. Easily dismissed the wave of humid, hot air with nothing more than a thought and a blank stare. The rest of the class looked around for a few seconds trying to find out who was capable of such a thing, Greg assumed. It was lucky that no one in this class knew what Greg could do. He began to gather his things and wait fot the teacher to dismiss the class. He would have to work on the whole emotion thing.
