~We are at a HQ~

DJ stood up and began to look around noticing Leon was right. Some had driven them off. Just what was the question. Well lets see. We know it isn’t the environment itself, else they wouldn’t have been able to be here in the first place. Flowers don’t seem as if they are showing any changes in pollen levels. Any clue what we might be looking for besides humanoid interference? We know for a fact tank type Supers do nothing much to these things since they took out Club Thunder which from my records held 20 plus type of feral supers. Not all where feline also. Had some Ursus-Sapiens….Bear ferals, so if I can upload any footage to the VR’s and main screen that should give us an idea.”

"No wait!" Leon shouted suddenly. He was looking around as if he was mad, searching every corner. He could have sworn he had just seen something moving. The cliché 'we're being watched' feeling washed over him. "Nobody move," He said, much calmer. He methodically scanned his surroundings, but he could see nothing out of the ordinary, apart from the blatantly obvious. "False alarm," He sighed, after several minutes of silent looking. "I must be going mad."
Just as he said those words, something that felt approximately like a wrecking ball knocked him across the room. It was not a wrecking ball, but an armored fist. The owner of the fist moved like a blur, crossing the room towards Leon, and as it did so, a laser field activated, separating Leon and the armored figure from everyone else. Leon may have been winded, but his mind was still working. Whoever his mysterious attacker was, they not only knew this base, but how to work its security system. That narrowed down the suspect list immensely. Leon had a feeling he knew exactly who this person was - Their strength and speed felt strangely familiar.
The figure suddenly stopped moving, and Leon's suspicions were confirmed instantly. The tail was unmistakable. Leon got to his feet. "Liam?" The figure immediately smacked Leon across the face, sending him back to the floor and nearly breaking his jaw. Leon looked up and saw the armor simply melting away, revealing Liam's face. 'That armor must be made from nanotechnology' was Leon's first thought. His second though was - 'Sweet crap! What happened to him?' - For Liam looked completely different now. Scars ran down his face, and his now lifeless eyes were bloodshot. He looked absolutely insane. His mouth was twitching, and his armored hands shook. His tail flailed about seemingly of its own will. Leon noticed that even the tail was covered in armor.
"What happened?" Leon asked. He knew straight away that this was a stupid thing to ask, and was reward with a kick that sent him flying through the air. He recovered in mid air and landed clumsily several metres away.
"What... What happened?" Liam replied, his voice sounding strangely hoarse, but still maintaining its trademark award winning sarcasm. "What the f*ck do you think happened, Leon?" He gestured around. "Whole f*cking city went up, didn't it?" he spat, walking towards Leon, who tensed, ready to fight. "We were completely overrun in a single night. It's been nearly two weeks, Leon. TWO WEEKS!!" He suddenly shouted. "What were YOU doing in that time? Is that school of yours so f*cked up now that it takes you THIS long to send a rescue team? Well it’s too f*cking late! There’s only me left!"
“What the hell are you on about?” Leon snapped, his temper rising. Liam gave a harsh yell of frustration, and charged towards Leon, but this time, Strikeforce’s leader was ready. He pushed his hand forward, and Liam was forced to dive to the side to avoid the attack which rippled the air, impacting on the far wall and leaving a large dent there. “We only heard about the Hive two days ago Liam.”
“Oh don’t give me that sh*t! I’ve been sending you distress signals since day one!” Liam screamed, rushing forwards again. This time he leaped expertly over Leon’s next shockwave attack. And moved forwards. Leon tried his best, but as good at hand to hand that Leon was, it was Liam who had taught him everything he knew about physical combat and with the nanotechnology no doubt increasing his speed and strength, Leon knew he was no match. In mere seconds, Liam broke through his defenses, and, using his tail, lifted him by the neck, squeezing tightly.
Leon knew what was going on. Liam had been so traumatized by what happened that he could no longer think rationally. He guessed that his friend had not slept since the incident started. Even with his throat being crushed by Liam’s tail, Leon managed to gasp “We didn’t receive any distress signals!”
“Bullsh*t!” came the reply, and Leon suddenly felt a flurry of blows all over, as Liam startled pummeling him with all four limbs. He felt several things crack, and he let out a grunt of pain, knowing that his ribs had been fractured. Desperate now, Leon grabbed the tail holding him, and tried to free himself. But he knew it was useless. Liam’s tail was stronger than his other limbs combined. Leon would have had better success cutting wood with a toothpick.
There was only one option left. Trying his best to ignore the pain, Leon summoned a shockwave in both hands and punched Liam in the stomach. The effort broke his fingers in several places as his fists impacted on the armor, but it worked. Liam’s tail relaxed for a second, and in that instant, Leon pushed forward. The air rippled, and then exploded, forcing the two of them apart. Leon skidded along the ground before hitting the far wall. Liam wasn’t so lucky – He hit the laser field, which crackled and sparked, shocking the monkey boy into unconsciousness.
Leon got up slowly, he felt the area where his bones were broken, and the came away covered in blood. “Huh?” he said, looking down. One of his ribs had punctured his torso. His uniform was slowly turning red from the blood. “Well… F*ck.” He mumbled, before he too sank to the floor.

DJ looked in amazement of the two supers fighting like wild animals during this time. Though Liam seemed to be insane for the time being, he brought up a whole host of questions. Currently this wasn’t the time to focus on that. He’d need to hex Leon with enough of his persist hood powers to hold him from death so Sam could heal him but at the same time he needed to contain Liam. His hand pointed toward Liam as he began to chat a hex. “ The blood you have shed cries out to the earth. Vengeance of the Earth bramble everything he touches returning a portion of the damage back to him till this hex is removed.” He turned to face Leon again who was bleeding badly. “ Don’t worry. I’m about to hex you with what I call Increased Vigor. It’ll increase your healing rate and ease the pain till Sam can heal you” Suddenly the floor around Leon began to glow with gold and pink symbols while green around Liam.

"That won't... Be necessary," Leon grunted, struggling to get to his feet, and failing. He clutched at the wound in his chest. "He's just got... Survivor's guilt. His entire team must have... " He tried to explain further, but after the extreme pounding he just went through, he didn't have the energy to talk. Leon rolled onto his back, allowing better access for whoever decided to heal him. 'All the more reason to go after the Hive now,' he thought angrily.

Sam was doing as DJ told her and setting a protective shells over HQ, then she heard the sounds of battle coming from inside. She stopped what she was doing and hurried inside to see the end of the fight and what it had left. "Leon!" she almost screamed looking at the boys injuries. The healer ran pass DJ to the edge of the of the lasor field, she put a hand near the beam and felt a burning sting, she quickly moved her hand away. Sam's eyes swifted around the room before letting the shadows consume her and take her into the other half of the room where Leon was laying.
The shadows evaporated off of her and she hurried to the fallen leader. Sam sunk to her knees and placed her hand over Leon's most obvious wound then a white light shined from her hand to Leon, the light was so bright it was blinding, she couldn't watch it but she knew the bone was being set to where was suppose to be and meld back together, she also knew the flesh was mending and the only thing Leon should fell is the warm of the light. After the major wound was taken care of she placed her one hand over Leon's forehead and the other on his chest and her hands began to glow again but instead of focusing on one part of Leon she spread the light through out his body healing the bones, muscles, and flesh that were damage in the fight. The marks of her mothers people appeared and begun to glow, the marks twisted and swirled into an elegant pattern but would only be seen on her hands and face because of the strike force uniform.
Sam leaned back and took a deep breath and relaxed a little before getting up and giving Leon some space. She smiled and was glad she took those healing classes at school, it had help her use her healing energy more efficiently. Sam then took notice of the mana veins that appeared on her hands, they usually appeared when she used a large amount of magic and faded after some time. The healer looked at Leon one more time and gave him a smiled then turned her sights onto DJ, "hey DJ, you think you can do something about the death beams?" she gestured to the laser field.

DJ thought for a moment but none of this father people abilities alone would do much against lasers. Accessing the turn off code could be anywhere in any of these computers. “Caleb? Uriah? Any plan?”
Caleb look at quick glance outside to check to see if it was still daylight out. “This might work, or it might not. While DJ is over there looking for the shut off code I think if I toss some projectile based photons at Uriah he might be able to reflect enough of them to create a small opening.”

Uriah opened his hands in order to toss the beams at the base of that was generating the beams. “Man I’m not to sure about this but it’s the best plan so for.”

Without warning several beams of light were heading toward Uriah. His hands moved in sync with each photon causing them to bounce off his finger tips and head toward the lasers. After a few tries a few laser bases exploded causing those lasers to become inactive.

Hitosu awaken with the noise outside *Whats going on?* Hitosu's aura flared "what happened?" Hitosu got a little nervous

Sam had done the best she could - far better than most. However, Leon would be asleep for some time while he recovered. Liam, on the other hand, woke up just a few minutes after being shocked. "Woah! That stings!" he cried out, jumping to his feet. He looked up and saw the others. "DJ? Sam? What are you guys doing here?" he asked, looking confused. "Did you come to fix this Hive problem? And is that Leon on the floor? What's going on?" As he spoke, Liam felt like he was missing some important detail. Like he had forgotten something. "Wait a second... Did I...?"

DJ looked over toward Liam. “ Settle down now or that bramble well be you’re the lest current issue. Now to answer your question yes we’ve come to deal with the Hive. Which it appears both parties know about . As for your second question you’d be correct again. That is Leon. Oh and yes you attacked him once we where inside of here. Lucky for both you it didn’t go any further. Well besides Leon having bones sticking out his flesh . If you haven’t noticed that green thing circling you it’s a hex which will return damage back to you should you attack. Now that your filled in on the situation what can you tell us?” As he spoke he made his way toward Liam only to stop a few feet short of him.

All of a sudden the lights in the hq began to flicker till they finally went out. A roar then echoed through the compound it was sharp and pericing. The roar was dragon like then a shadowy figure ran through the room and out in an instant.

Sam stood up and listen to the two converse not really knowing what to do or say so the best she could do was to stay quite. She remembered the monkey boy from last year but Sam hadn't seen him for quite some time. The twilight being (no relations) was going to ask DJ if she should heal Liam when she heard a terrifying roar.

A flash of a shadow came quickly into the building then tried to exit but he was not quick enough. Shadows grabbed him by the ankles and they quickly lached on to his wrist before dragging him back in and slamming him against a wall.

"Who are you and what is your business here!" Sam yelled raising her other arm and forming a shadow spike and putting it to their mysteries visitor.

The running figure was caught in the clutches of a shadow and pressed up against the wall. He was annoyed with these people so quick and like a trapped animal he was going to do the only thing he can do fight to get free. The figure had finally stood still enough to be identified his yellow tame golden hair gave off a slight glow. His scarf white but at the tips it was stained blood red and his breathing got slightly heavier. The person looked exactly like Gaku Hitsugaya but he was different then Gaku and it showed. The person bared his teeth at the people they were sharp not the teeth of a normal human being. "You smell of that retched water dragoon I will answer you this and only this and that is my name." At that moment His arms and legs began to grow huge and scaly making his stronger so quick he looked up at the light and used his lightning abilities to enhance the brightness of the lights to blinding proportions. The light was so strong it started to weaken the shadows and with his strength he broke free. His arms and legs became engulfed in lightning as he ran making his faster till he was out of sight and an echo sweep through the halls. "The names Musuko Hitsugaya and if you forget it you will die ha ha ha."

DJ raised his left brow as he looked over at Sam. "Well that was strange. Then again this is the Big Apple and it's known for it's nuts. Anyway were was we? Between That thing, the fight and our mission where do we even start?"

Musuko ran through the hq with so much seed he was almost a streak of light. He became bored of running arond especially if no one was chasing him. Before he was ready to leave he smelled a high concentration of electricity coming from a room he added some electricityinto the door forcing it open. Right in front of the door stood a generator it made his mouth water at all the electricity he could eat. He rushed towards the generator and quickly began draining its power causing the power in the building to decrease throwing away his hunger making him full.

Caleb was shaking his head. There was far too much going on at one time. "I think we should start with what we came here for. This Hive thing seems to be at the base of everything."

Uriah nodded in agreement.

Then Caleb something hit Caleb. "Wait a minute." He looked over at Liam. "When you were a student there were two others that were on SF with you: Francois and Naomi. I dont know what happened to Fran when he graduated, but Naomi came here. Have you kept in contact with her? Im sure she'd be trying to help with what's going on here."

Club Thunder looked like a battlefield. Something had knocked the large doors off their hinges, and one of the skylights on the roof was completely shattered. Inside, it was worse. There was some kind of black residue everywhere, and though there seemed to have been a valiant cleaning effort, the gunk stayed where it was, mostly concentrated to the plumbing. A particularly large amount was on the floor near what might have once been a vent at some point. There was blood, too. It had relented under the cleaning, but brown blotches still dotted certain areas. There were some spots that didn't look cleaned, yet also were clear of any blood or goo. Pryce decided that those places were where the bodies had been. They weren't there now. Pryce then decided he didn't like this place.
"We shouldn't be here," Pryce started, looking at the crime scene tape they'd crossed, still covering the door, "we really, really, shouldn't be here."
"I know," Bennu said, inspecting several scorch marks on the floor, "but there's got to be some kind of clue here as to what's going on. There are so many things happening at once, I just want to make sense of it."
She knelt down to examine some of the black residue, looking back at one of the walls. It was obvious something had hit the wall at a decent speed; cracks in the wall, as well as more of the black substance splattered all over it, were a testament to the force of the attack. It was definitely the work of a super. Bennu aproached the wall, reaching out a glowing hand as if she were using a flashlight.
"Strike Force was fighting a super," she said quietly. "I'll bet you anything that person could control this black stuff. Ugh, it smells terrible."
Pryce nodded. It had been what he was thinking, too. Pryce moved to stand next to Bennu, and reached out his own hand, though his was trembling.
"Don't touch it!" Bennu whispered fiercely. "We don't know what it is. It could be some kind of acid or something. Or poison."
Pryce hesitated, but hovered his hand just next to the wall, and opened a tiny crack in the void. Darkness covered a circular section of the wall about the size of Pryce's hand as he absorbed the light and other energies of the wall. It was strange, but Pryce thought he could tell just what it was he could absorb. Light felt sharp, like a needle or blade, while heat still just felt like heat, though both sensations were so faint they barely registered. But there was one more, that felt like a weird expanding pressure, trying to grow.
"It's alive," Pryce said finally, his voice shaking. His hand fell back from the wall, and the darkness retreated, revealing ice covering the spot where Pryce's hand had been, and the black goo, now shriveled up. "It's alive, or it was before I just killed it. If it's poisonous, it'd have to be some kind of biotoxin. Same with acid."
It would be difficult for Pryce to acknowledge that he was interested now. He was still terrified, constantly wondering if they would be caught, or if whatever happened to the club would happen to them. He caught himself looking over his shoulder again, and turned to face Bennu. If this stuff was alive, the super must have been able to produce more of it. It might even have been able to reproduce itself. Pryce shuddered. The stuff around them now was just residue. It couldn't have been enough material to spawn anything, could it? It wasn't even enough material to move by itself....
"I think all of this is one organism," Pryce continued. "It all moves together. I don't think brute force could kill something like this, either. There can't be only one attack. Bennu, we need to get out of here before something else happens. We can keep doing research once we're in a safer place."
Bennu nodded, surprised at Pryce's sudden change in demeanor. "Alright, I gotcha. Let's get out of here."
The two students didn't realize that Simon was keeping tabs on the club, per Ben's orders. So when they made there way back to the school, Simon was waiting for them.

"And would you two care to tell me what you were doing in a sealed off crime scene? In case you didn't know; yellow tape means that you should probably stay out. It even has it printed in big, black letters on it."

Naomi Montgomery was pissed. This Hive thing was worst than what she thought. Here she was, trapped in some run down factory with a group of 12 people who stuck to her like a shadow. Even with her super durability and stamina, she was tired of fighting. All kinds of infected creatures; supers, animals, humans and those little nasty slime globs kept finding her and her gruop and tried to either infect or kill them.

After graduating from Hero High, she came to New York with the prospect of going to college and maybe even do a little crime fighting. She trained. Hard. She was now able to lift double of what she could when she graduated (close to 30 tons); could runs at speeds that maxed 84 miles and hour; and her agility allowed her to preform great feats of acobatic skills. But that still wasn't enough to save New York.

She knew she couldn't do it herself but she lost contact with Francois and she hadn't had any contact with Liam. When she tried to get together with other supers, that whole registration thing got in the way and no one was allowed to help her. The government wasn't willing to work with her cause they seemed to have their own agenda. So she did what she had to do and tried to do it herself.

It failed epically. She single-handedly saved an entire neighborhood and helped them flee to saftey, only to realized that most were already infected and were trying to finish the job. That was why she was stuck with these people now.

Help has to come soon, she thought to herself.

Pryce let out a sharp yelp at the voice as his muscles reacted, trying to jump out of his skin. For a split second he was trying to move in two directions at once, and ended up going nowhere, staring at Simon. "We're dead. We're caught; we're dead," he whispered shakily. At the same time, Bennu stepped forward, placing herself between Pryce and Simon. "Be quiet!" She hissed at Pryce urgently, before turning to smile brightly in Simon's direction, her skin taking on a soft orange glow.

"We just wanted a look around, that's all," Bennu started. "I thought Strike Force might need some help with things." Behind Bennu, Pryce was still murmuring in a panic. "A-are we in t-trouble, S-sir?" He asked.

Liam looked up, glad to not be staring at Leon's unconscious form. "Francois went back home." He said in an emotionless voice. "And Naomi was in a completely different direction to me. She wanted to do things herself, and the registration would not allow her to sign up. I haven't spoken with her much since graduation. All I know is that she might be one of the few left alive."
Liam stood up, wary of the others, in case they jumped him. He had just beaten down their leader, after all. "If we rescue Naomi, she would be a great addition to this little party. However, because of... Of what I've just done, I don't quite know how we can pull that kind of thing off."

Sam shrugged at DJ she had no clue what was going on, she just followed orders...most of the time. Sam turned her attention to Liam then to Leon then back to Liam, "Oh uh yeah, try not to beat up the leader again and I bet well be just fine. And look he looks better already..." Sam said forming a dark stick like thing and poked Leon's while he was still unconscious, "Yep better already..." The lights flickered as the power was being drained by the nut job, he had given his name but she'd already forgotten it. "Maybe we should take care of that crazy before we do anything...he might continue to get annoying."

Meanwhile, back at the school.

A cool wind swept across the school's inner quad, and although the sun's gaze was strong, right next to the fountain stood a skinny figure wearing some cheap sunglasses, a backpack and wearing all black. He stood for about a minute trying to listen for a sound of life, perhaps some laughter in the distance or a rustling of papers. Instead all he could hear were the uneasy shifting of his backpack and the sound of his shoes changing position against the concrete path. He stood alone, unsure of where he was, who he was looking for or where he was supposed to be going. His backpack was getting heavier by the second and as the straps pulled back on his shoulders, Ezra could feel the sun's heat on his face. This place seems like ghost town... Maybe I'm at the wrong school?
Feeling a little defeated and embarrassed from his inaccurate map reading abilities, Ezra slung his heavy backpack on to the ground, causing a distinctive 'metal clashing with metal' sound to ring through the empty quad. He then turned around and plumped himself on the fountain's ledge and let out a long needed sigh.
After about a 15 minutes of waiting, the silence began to get to Ezra. Seriously, where is everyone? Ezra took another look around, looking for any signs of life in the window frames. After failing that too, Ezra let out another sigh and stood up. He reached down, grabbed his bag and in one movement, slung it over his shoulder. Ezra then stood for a moment, unsure of what to do next. There were no directions to a reception that he could see and for that matter, no directions to anywhere. Still Ezra had a glimmer of hope, so he took both his hands, cupped them around his mouth, and after a deep breath, yelled out;
"HELLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?"

Zero was in another school fight with the fire kid that she knocked out a few days again, apparently he was still mad about his stereo or something. "Come on already, I gave you an iPod what more do you want?" she asked dodging another fireball. "I want a roasted cat girl with a side of fries!" the fire balling hipster shouted. "You haven't been able to hit me, not even once," she replied. Zero tried not to get angry and just knocked the kid out again but he was really asking for it. The to were running through the campus and finally headed toward the quad, "Look you are really getting annoying now so yeah, stop chasing me, I'm trying to turn over a new leaf." Zero said stopping and trying to reason with the senior student that was acting like a four year old. The fire guy stopped and nodded, " you know this is getting old maybe I should just let it go..." he said but suddenly snapped his fingers and a tiny explosion hit Zero in the arm, she grabbed at her arm now racked with pain. "Alright, your dead now!" Zero roared then in an instant she was gone from the fire guys sight they she appeared in front of the guy, "Know your place!" The feline girl yelled grabbing the boy by the back of the neck and bring his head down then planted her knee right in the seniors face. But as soon as she hit him the guy caused an explosion in between them causing Zero to be blown away toward the guy sitting on the fountain.
