"And before you try something," Caleb said, walking towards the creature, "know that there's really, REALLY sharp sword aimed at your heart. So its probably a good thing to call of your little calvary. If you can," he added.
While Leon was giving it to the remaining infected, Uriah was doing a pretty decent job of keeping them both alive, himself. His Telekinetic class was teaching him how to bounce an attack back at the sender and he was putting that training to good use. He was still learning so more than half of the reflected attacks missed their mark. So long as they don't hit us, he thought to himself. He and Leon were exhibiting excellent teamwork. When an infected super attacked Uriah, Leon blasted him with a shockwave. When someone threw an energy ball of some sort at Leon, they switched again and Uriah reflected it.
Back at the school, Greg was training late with a teacher. They were outside so Greg would be more comfortable and have better access to nature. The teacher was helping Greg learn how to tune in to the energy patterns of the weather so he could better work them. She told him to clear his mind and just let nature speak to him. When he did this, colorful streaks of what appeared to be lightning flooded his mind.
They made various shapes and streaks and were all connected. The only way Greg could differentiate between then was the color. The yellow streaks faded in and out above the others but were interspersed with the silver streaks that curved and gave a constant glow. Above those, reddish-orange streaks were the brightest that he could see and they were intertwined with ice-blue streaks. Just below the yellow and silver streaks, Greg saw blue streaks that kept blasting apart into Tony little dots and then reform only to repeat the process.
To him it was quite obvious what the streaks and their colors represented. The blue streaks were rain. The silver was the wind. Yellow was lightning. The reddish-orange and ice-blue were warmth and cold, respectively. When he opened hie eyes, they were glowing white. The teacher smiled at him and said that he was in tune with the weather at the moment. She also said that whenever he wanted to willingly activated his powers, he would have to get in tune all over again until it came more naturally for him.
When he got back to his room, he again tested himself. It took longer this time but he got the same results. He went to the mirror and sure enough, his eyes were glowing bright white. He was shocked to see that instead of just his eyes changing, his whope body looked different. The very same way that he saw the weather was how his body looked.
Where his head was, there were the yellow streaks. They were more pale but they still the same. He also saw the reddish-orange and ice-blue all over his body but they were paler as well. Therewas just a small amount of silver in his chest and it came in and out through his mouth. He also saw the blue, unstable streaks all over himself.
He was so excited that he lost his concentration and his eyes shifted back to normal and he only saw his regular self. He figured he could see the weather patterns for long because he was tired. So he showered and went to bed. He couldn't wait for tomorrow. What would he learn then?
