Well, I'm a huge fan of the Zelda game series, but here's an idea (not to sound rude but...) Why don't you try playing the game on the 64 and copying that into a script?
Because...that's pointless. I mean, that LoZelda story has already been told.
I'm taking a lot of different things from different games. I took the story behind the triforce and I'm probably gonna take a couple of characters...that's it though.
Hey guys, I'm new. And I'm a huge Zelda and Wonder Boy fan (particularly Wonder Boy3). I've actually been working on a novelisation of WOnder Boy 3 for the past 10 years, but I've added so much it isn't really Wonder Boy anymore.
But I think a Zelda movie would be pretty cool. My favourite Zelda game Story wise would be Wind Waker. But then again, the interaction and character relationship of Ocarina would definitely suit a movie better.
Knowing Hollywood, they'd probably make some hybrid movie which takes a little from each game, and ends up resembling none of them.
But I'd love to read all the scripts you guys have written.

thank god somebody who whants to make a zelda movie i thought it would never happen iv been a a fan of the game since i was a young lad and wow was i surprised when i read somebody was working on a movie script.and yeah its true what u said about the mario movie and the F.F movie.
I think one of the biggest problems in making a Zelda movie would be to get the audience to realistically believe a twelve year old could kick so much arse.

hey man i read that someone said the final fantasy movie was bad because it wasnt based on a game, that was the best thing about it, it everything to make it feel like a game, the script was one that would be a video game i mean every game is a totally different story
But thats the point. They went into the trouble of actually being able to use the name "final Fantasy", which would have costed money. They could've done without, and got great reviews for being the movie that it is, not the movie the name makes it out to be, catch my drift?

Hey this is Rob, a zelda movie would kick ass but only if it was done the right way. A fantasy/adventure/Lord of the Rings style would be the best way in my opinion. Have some great battle scenes and throw a little drama love shit between zelda and link but not too much. Having more then one movie is good too. I think the best way to base it on would be to foloow the Ocarina of time game. umm I like the idea of Robert from everybody loves raymond as ganandorf. Leonardo Dicaprio as link isn't that cool cuz leo's so old now. John Williams should do the music, he did the music for star wars and jurassic park and hook and stuff. and the guy who did the voice for darth vadar could do the voice for the deku tree.
Of all the games to be Lord of the Rings-esque, Wind Waker would have to be it. with references to Ancient Legends and old Heroes and times gone by cos "none now live who remember 'em".
I seriously think that all these changes were put into the Zelda theme after Fellowship of the Ring was released.

Man, the worst thing about trying to do a movie and having it go awful is like that Dragonball movie, NOT THE ONE COMING OUT.When I think about it, I think that the old movie LEGEND would seem like a fantasty style like Zelda. Yet, whoever doesn't know what I'm talking about, then YOU go **** off.
I think that most of the people chatting figure that Ocarina of Time holds a great story to it...and it's one that has a great dramatic entry, like Zelda actually being Sheik...That was wierd...but should the movie actually be Ocarina of time, or should it be another one?
Yeah, totally. After watching Legend, I thought, "Is it just me or was Tom totally based of Link?"
Even though he was played by Tom Cruise. But then again, Zelda I, and Zelda II. Link had brown hair.

For the writers or directors who are making a script or whatever I strongly suggest you don't. Just leave The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time to be a videogame. Yes It is one of my favorite stories and in my opinion easily the best game of all time, but I think a movie is a stupid way to make money. Plus too many people know the secret of Sheik! 😎
Nothing wrong with talking about making a movie, it's all very fun. (except if one of us actually goes on and does it, and makes it sucky).

man, those people from the ff movie used cgi. CGI SUCKS ASS, If it's in cgi then it's going to be lame, If it's real then people will open up to zelda a lot more and become mesmerized by it. They have a lot of special effects, and think of Gollum from LORD OF THE RINGS. They could use that for any characters that are just too weird like the skeleton figures, but they could just add in any other characters.Link should be cool if he gets a nice long sword fight scene (even though he never had a sword fight against ganon) and spice it up with doing a few flips/rolls. Zelda would be tops, cause she's actually a BABE...*whew*. Ganon would be fine with just some aggressive guy but I can't think of who could fit his role.
note that Zelda looks different game to game. (my fave one has to deffinetely be Zelda: Link's Adventure)
Traydemark, I realy need to talk to u. Email me at [email protected](no it's not "cammooer90" I skrewed up). And any body else who has ideas PLEASE. After High School I'm going to UCLA and get a film education. U? Do u have AIM? Ur both right. I'm not going to directly copy the game but I'm also not going to make people say, "Well, that's Hollywood for ya...,". And I've played the game alot. So its ok, i know what i;m dealing with (not to sound mad). Traydemark, email me as soon as possible, K?
