Legend of Zelda Movie

I see your point. I'm just saying those 2 movies have great cam work.

[B]David Fincher is too much of a dark director.

Personally I think he could surprise the audience with those elements he'd bring. I'd like to see how he'd handle the warmer hues the movie would call for. The fight scenes would be awesome imo, his zoom in during fight scenes especially between link, zelda and ganon creature would be cool. The dark element would be essential to making us believe in ganon's dark intentions, but it is those warm scenes I'd like to see how he'd handle them. Angles, effect general feel as to what he'd bring. 😄

They have to cast Orlando Bloom for Link 😛 😍 Who could resist??

Orlando Bloom would be the PERFECT choice for Link. Hollywood has been doing a good job of fixing VG, Comic Characters to the perfect actor:

Angelina Jolie - Lara Croft
Patrick Stewart - Pro. X
Bob Hopkins - Mario - (Luigi should have been played by John Turturro)
etc.

So I think they would find someone good for the job

I agree with you, AGAIN mrglass. I thought that Hugh Jackman looks like he was meant to be Logan. And of course, not to sound any offensive to anyone, but Patrick stewart just looks SO Prof X...I mean, who else would you have cast'd in his place? With Orlando, everyone just SHUT UP...he's cool and he's talented, so go ***** to the president, we'll talk about whatever we want. If anyone wouldn't really want Orlando then maybe someone will make a performance, I'd like to think that Hayden (go look him up...you know who I'm referring about) would be closer to second than any other actors, only cause I don't know TOO MANY ACTORS within the twenties.

Maybe before someone would think to make a Zelda movie, they'd think to themselves and say, "Maybe we have a more generated audience to a SCI-FI feel of entertainment; lots of miscolored blood and violence, lot's of weapons and destruction, and lots of action to push you nearly off your seat...HOW ABOUT A METRIOD MOVIE?" yeah, maybe that's something that they'd be talking about in a Nintendo conference with some high biding producers and directors who are willing to buy the rights to make themselves a movie... Afterall, this is hollywood. they'd probably get all sick of probably seeing another elvish movie with a dark side villian (not anything close to LOTR)

Maybe Hollywood would really want something like metriod instead of zelda...If I was some film critic and I saw metriod and compared it with Zelda, I'd probably have to say that what metriod would probably lack in Plot would make up in for action...Boom, lot's of powerful guns, just like playing SUPER METRIOD ON THE BIG SCREEN (just like that really old commercial where some guy snuck in a movie theater and started playing games, then a guard came and the dude left...then it advertised the console. I'm not sure if it was Super Nintendo or what). So, if there is anything about any movie, I'd be just as excited if it were either of the titles going into a film...Then five years will come and then the STUPIDEST IDEA WILL BLOSSOM, "HEY, LET'S MAKE A SMASH BROS. MOVIE, HEHEHEH" *IDIOT* only a moron would think of something like that. Though, would Metriod be any better than Zelda? or would they rank as about the same?

What would rank highest? Zelda definitely! Basically because Metroid, even though an original game, would make a unoriginal movie. Its to closely linked to movies like Alien and other science fiction movies where a creature or creatures is terrorizing a set environment. Zelda would be closely likened to LOTR, but if it were made properly and correctly, then it would set itself different from all other movies (We dont want another Super Mario Bros, D&D, or Wing Commander on our hands.) 🙂

I'm just starting to write my own script for a Legend of Zelda Movie...I'm also going to storyboard it out once it's finished so I have something else to send along when I send the script out to Nintendo and the producing companies...

Wow, a Zelda movie. Great idea, I'd definately go to watch it.
A few small things I think you guys should look at first, it'll help massively in the storyline and such.

There is a Zelda manga in Japan. It's a doujin and I have a copy of them. I can't read a single word of Japanese, but the art is awesome and I found a site that has the translations for them. It's great. You should go take a peek at it, if you're any kind of Zelda fan, you'll love it.

Download the manga in Zipfiles here. Toki no Ocarina Manga around the middle. It's two books long and leaves you wanting for more. Artist: Akira Himekawa, it's a pen name, it's actually done by two female artists.

The original site, which is down at this moment due to the webmistress swapping servers. She translated it from the origianl Japanese, great job of it too. Got me to beg my Japanese contact to ship over the original manga. She translated Oot 1 and 2, MM and OoS. OoA is in progress.

And costumes. Look at cosplay.com . There's this guy with the screen name of Pikmin Link who has an excellent costume. His Fiercy Deity Link/Oni-Link costume is amazing, especially the face paint. Another guy. The-Real-Link , I believe, also has great costumes in his gallery. Sadly, I didn't find any *really* good Zelda costumes, but there are a few that are pretty well done. I can't remember the screen names, so I'll just have to attach the picture.

Anyways, should any of you come up with a good script, send it over, I can get some friends to LRP and see how it goes. I went as Link for Halloween, so my costume is sitting in my closet. I'm picky with detail, I memorized the songs on my recorder (no ocarina.. *sobz*) and I even had Navi bobbing behind me. Styrofoam ball with white and silvery pipecleaner wings. Speared with florists wire and attached to the belt holding my sword.

Add the triple Ws to the links to get to the sites.

Someday, I will make an awesome Zelda costume....

When I'm not poor anymore. 😉

well i was thinking .. i dont know if anyone said this before i didnt read every post im new to here btw.
but what about his fairy?
that would be a good guide
i think the movie should be like 12 hours lol j/k
i think my ass would fall asleep before then
and the cast thing is pretty simple
look at harry potter how the unknown fit the role good.
get a contest going like they did on harry Potter.
it will not only help out some young kids get in hollywood but it would also keep us intrested.
i mean i dont want to watch orlando on there and everytime i see him take out a Bow and Arrow i say oh yeah LOTR.
as for gannon, he needs to be a big bad ass. he realy needs to be an unknown, rememeber Gannon was way bigger then Link even when link was in his teens. the cgi or whatever it is called would be a good idea for the monsters, id love to see some Ju-Ju (i think thats the name of them) bouncing around town sometimes, just have them as a non threat, something as a amusiment in the movie where little kids stomp on them and pick them up for Jelly or something lol. a whole cast of unknowns wouldn't be good. you need someone not to famous but famous enough that you say, "hey what movie was that guy in". Shawn Connery (sp) would be a baaaaaaaaaaad call for a voice in the movie he has a way to noticable voice. but i would love to see a zelda movie. ive been dreaming about this since OoT.
oh yeah what about the horse, would you want it in the movie if it was based on OoT?
and Link talking would be a bad idea in my Eyes it would break his charecter.

if this isnt based on any past games then i would like to see a big surprise and let Gannon Win at the end.
now that would make my mouth drop lol
well there it goes my 3 cents

A Zelda movie would be the greatest. I think that instead of basing it on one of the games it should be a whole new story (that would still take place in Hyrule). Also, I don't think that Link should have the tunic on I think he would look more mature if he looked more like fierce diety link. X-men, for example, took the less childish route. Logan isn't called wolverine and he doesn't have the yellow spandex suit. Lastly, making it like Lord of the Rings is a very good idea. Here are some ideas for the cast:

Director- Gore Verbinski or Peter Jackson
Link- Orlando Bloom, Elijah wood or a debut teen actor
Zelda- Mischa Barton or Keira Knightly
Ganondorf- Johnny Depp or Arnold Vosloo (Imhotep)
Nabooru- Michelle Rodriguez
Epona- Aragorn's horse 😄

Just another idea I think it would look good if it was filmed in Scotland. And I think there should be quite a few new characters introduced.

I think when the sunject about the costumes pop up, poof...I thinking that if this is going to be more of a movie, then I think that maybe someone should try and stop talking about the childish things...as for x-men, it was a cartoon show in the mornings on saturday (man those days were pretty fun)...and so now x-men comes out with a movie and then everything is pretty darker than any dark colors than the tv show...same way as Spiderman or anything that had a history to it. With how things went in OoT...I think that maybe it should be about 70-90% darker. Then instead of Link slashing monsters and they go SIZZLE, maybe they'd go EXPLODY and some slime (like those ju-jus) or bones (like those skeleton knights) go flying and create a more realistic feel for whoever.

Good luck with whoever to fit into NAVI's role or SARIA's...

Have you ever seen Hook with Robin Williams and Julia Roberts? Navi! Or if you want to go with the "dancing ball of light" then cg will take care of it. And there's enough good child actors running around that a little makeup would help. (the kokiri ARE children, right?)

As for the actors, we need all new people. Old faces would kill it. Smart actors, because smart actors can play dumb characters, but dumb people can't play smart characters. It just dosen't work. Acting is rather difficult. It involves entirely forgetting who you are, down to your little habits and mannerisms, and literally becoming someone new. Not everyone can do this. And some people's acting styles are better suited to different roles.

I'd rather have a Zelda who didn't look 100% perfect, but could really CONVINCE me she WAS Zelda. It's such a set world that we're re-creating, that the actors don't have very much artistic lisence with their parts. They need to be able to take on this well-developed skin and play it to the utmost. We need really GOOD people, not overpaid actors accustomed to being heartthrobs.

The Legand of Zelda Movie

Hey, this is Cam. For those of you that haven't "met" me yet in the welcome forum (same on you 😠 !) I'm a future filmmaker! And I've put into thought of creating a "Legand of Zelda: The Ocorina of Time" movie starting production in the next 5 years. I haven't writen a script yet so I need some ideas from some creative minds out there. If you have a Holywood contact or some sort of ideas of any kind please notifiy me at my e-mail, [email protected] or my screename fore AIM camoore90. Or you could just post it in this forum. Things are going through my head right now so hurry! THANKES A WHOLE LOT!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! 😄

Cam

Hey, Cam, welcome to the forum! I suggest you stick with the story closely from the video game. Don't tamper with the details like many directors do. Maybe you would need to tamper with Link's costume so it doesn't look so cartoonish if it's live action.

I hope to see a movie about Zelda one day...btw welcome have a good one

If you make a Zleda movie ocorina is the best one. If you maike it let us think. I mean somrthing like a puzzle. something that messes with our minds.

✅ liek a puzzle ✅ make me think and get angry GREAT IDEA!!

OOO!!! I'll stick with the details alright!! I won't change anything (exeped for a few changes here and there... like the costime...)! I need money though... I wan't to do it in the next five years or so so it is still "alive" and not just poping out the blue. Does any body have an idea how a 13 year old kid could get that kinda money?

A zelda movie should be a totally different story. It's easy. Not all the Links are the same in every game. I suggest it being 2 parts. As a kid and as an adult. That way it tackles both age differences and it gives more material to write about. If not...I suggest the older version from OoT. As for casting I suggest Barry Watson (Matt from Seventh Heaven). He has the pointy nose already. Either that or the contest thing like someone already said. Orlando Bloom is good for the part but I'm tired of seeing him as an elf. Zelda should be someone with a nurturing gentle look. With big eyes.

I think I have some pretty good ideas for a Zelda movie. I'm majoring in film and am planning to start an indie film company called Traydemark Films.

Why isn't Cameron Diaz good for Samus? I think she fits...I'm just tired of her.
