Anything except that it's the gateway drug.

It's only a matter of time before you're breaking into people's homes to steal goods to sell/trade in order to support your heroine and crack habits. Possibly even resorting to selling yourself sexually on the street and making more AIDS.

I'm going to say that it is addictive, in the sense that I really feel days I don't smoke lacked something. Though, talking to people who drink lots of coffee, sounds like they have it worse than I do.

oh ya, going without coffee is way worse than going without pot

I think that is more of the habbit of morning routine though. That specific habbit is way more of a ritual to me than anything i have surrounding pot.

I don't drink coffee, at all. Or really any caffeine. I think its probably better in the long run to try and make sure you can function without it.

My brother died from smoking marijuana. I'm sick of people saying how harmless it is when it kills people every day.

what happened?

I gotta hear this one.

he might have had an allergy, but that is rarely fatal

ive heard of people who had dramatic effects from their first time, such as laying down on the road or whatever, but I have honestly never heard of any "deaths" directly attributable pot... even stuff like alelrgies or extreme reactions (which I have been privy to) are generally non-fatal...

He overdosed on it and died, paramedics tried to save him but it was too late. Heed my words, pot can kill instantly if you're not careful, so best not to do it.

I hate to disagree with you on a sensitive matter, but the LD50 of pot is actually impossible to reach through conventional methods...

was he injecting THC? or do you think there might have been an allergy?

I've rocked the ganja a few times and I've never gotten high off of it. I feel so... left out.

But I'm still hip. Note use of the phrase "rocked the ganja".

Pot is great. The only people who have issues with it are the people who've never smoked it or are so up tight that they refuse to use the penny in the community cup at the gas station and think Dane Cook is funny.

Or think I'm funny, which ever.

Wow, you really must have been doing something wrong.

I was either inhaling wrong or it was weak stuff. I was assured by the present potheads at the time I was doing it right, and they all got high from it.

I like to think I have a super tolerance. Makes me sound super.

To Robtard: Hahaha I understand where you're coming from but trust me I have no intention of picking up crack or heroin. People just say marijuana is a gateway drug b/c people who have addictive personalities start off smoking pot and go on to something bigger. But guess what? I dont. I've gone monhs without weed just for the heck of it and had no cravings for it whatsoever. So please think before you post stuff. Thanks.

How come people don't call alcohol a gateway drug?

Thank you for pointing that out I was gonna say something but I forgot to. Alcohol is just insane compared to marijuana. If you want to compare the two marijuana is like advil or tylenol and alchol is like vicodin or oxy.

alcohol isn't considered a "gateway" drug, because by and large, the "gateway" argument is the "slippery-slope" fallacy: "Person does X, therefore they will do things worse than X".

there might be a little bit of "truth" to the idea of pot as a gateway though. Even if you only smoke pot, you are likely to come into contact with people who would offer you something harder, simply because it is something they use themselves (like, if I have a vial of K, I will offer some to other people I'm out with, simply to be polite).

However, one need not even use pot for this to happen, simply hang around people who use drugs, thus "pot" isn't a "gateway"

Because it's legal?
