So its becoming kind of clear that most/all post ROTJ eu is not canon in Lucas's vision. He's never actually input his ideas into any of it has he?? Save the fact that Luke is to become the more powerful than Sidious. As for the rest of the Eu, Lucas does take what he feels like, which is why I hold its still canon in Lucas's vision, except where he clearly contradicts it.

But you are completley wrong. Lucas has stated several times that the EU is not part of his vision or his world.
He's seperated his universe from the expanded universe, but i dnt remember him stating they are mutually exclusive. He does after all take characters and names from the EU and put it into his Universe.
The ROTS novel makes reference to the EU stories Shatterpoint and Darth Maul. What do you make of that? Lucas also contributed his ideas to TFU. He told the author the kind of teacher Vader would be and how he would motivate his apprentice. They also asked Lucas what they should and shouldn't include. He changed for instance the role they were going to put Leia in.
In any case from the SW EU's point of view Lucas's Universe is the Source material, so his word comes first, and so the SW EU should be made as much in line with Lucas's SWU as possible. They are all sequels/prequles to Lucas's movies after all. They're just not Lucas's sequels/prequels.

And of course to Lucas only the TV Show and movies are consistent.

But there is. After all is Dooku Yoda's padawan? Nope he is not. Ultimately the EU authors have "their own kind of world" which doesn't "always match" with GL's. And once again the EU clearly ignores GL saying Luke doesn't get married.
Edit: It would be nice if GL's word was final, but it isn't. At least not in the EU which has ignored it many times.
GL's word having ultimate authority is THE main pillar in determining what is/isn't canon. If GL says X isn't so, or Marek did this and not that, or Luke didn't do this, then no matter who says what, it means jack. It's George Lucas' universe - his creation (even when other authors contribute to/write material) - HIS!! It's absolutely ridiculous that someone would like to argue that what Lucas says isn't really so with regards to Star Wars.

He seperates them with the three pillars analagy. And says that it's like Star Trek, tv show ans novels, in that they "were completley different and don't have anything to do with eachother."And of course to Lucas only the TV Show and movies are consistent.

This is really interesting, he even admits that the three pillars don't always match but he does acknowledge what Howard Roffman (president of Lucas Licensing) publishes.

You see GL said that after all that stuff was written. They had Luke married before they knew Jedi dnt marry. Dark Empire was written wayyy before the Prophecy of the Chosen One destroying the Sith was written.
So there are inconsistencies and contradictions because the EU authors didnt know the whole Skywalker story yet.
But they are still sequels to Lucas's films. And will try and follow his words, and his world as much as they can (with their limited knowledge).
And Yet Lucas has still taken so many characters, names, and possibly back stories from the EU and inlcuded it into his SWU. And still he directs the EU sometimes, like when he told them not to write anything about Darth Vader's birth.
They have made Luke so powerful, because of Lucas specifically saying Luke will become more powerful than Sidious.
