Force lightning: The Jedi can use force lightning one wizard at a time, and it takes a bit of time. If they are force choking a wizard, another wizard simply death spells their ass.

Precog: So the Jedi will know, via foresight, of the upcoming battle. So? The wizards, via the Hall of prophesies, of the battle years before. Now, Battle precog. So the Jedi will know about an attack/s moment before it happens, and? They are gonna have Fiendfyre surrounding them, death spells coming at them from all angles, not to mention being Confundused.

In ROTS, we see Count Dooku telekinetically lift, throttle, and hurl a reasonably skilled Force User in the form of Obi-Wan while simultaneously fighting a prodigy in the form of Anakin. He then proceeds to hurl Obi-Wan across the room and bury him beneath a catwalk in short order.

Darth Sidious, who is more powerful than the good Count, would likely be able to reach out through the Force and break Snape's neck.

Hall of Prophecies = fail. The Jedi do not need a device, the Force is part of them.

Many spells rely on the presence of a wand(an easily breakble or taken away device), while the Force is part of the Jedi. So Magic > The Force is another fail angle, son.
