What's the difference between energy and blunt force resistance?

Was there mentionned at some point that this energy beam was anything but concussion force?

The point isn't durability, its the notion is that manhandling mar-vell is a strength feat.

Are you assuming that Lord Mar-Vell can amp, and that he's physically weak? You don't think that he's probably stronger that Surfer, because he's probably able to amp further than him?

Pretty sure earliest Mar-Vell was physically taking it to Namor. Then the nega bands were supposed to convert his energy into greater strength, among other things.

Lord Mar-Vell is different version, so feats don't really apply, but you know, for what it's worth...

He busted A full powered Novas shields with one punch, the Sphinx with 2 KA stones couldnt blast through them
