Just looking at that movie Lucas did'nt have any input for the script, So its okay for that part

Err... it's being produced by Lucasfilm, which means he can have any influence he likes.

And thats why CGI Gungans will most likely be seen in the cockpits of the fighters in the background in shots. 🙁
