Lots of shut ups...

YouTube video

I didn't know they said that word in that movie. This is entirely new to me. 😉

I was shocked too.

Apparently there was a super subtle subplot where Pacino plays a coke dealer....!! 😮

NOOOOO.....no way.... I don't believe that!

Yes, apparently its all true...!
('Apparently', because it was beneath my levels of subtlety detection too, I have only heard rumours.)

Show me ONE scene that proves it.

Ive looked extensively and was alarmed to find no scenes that directly alluded to it. 😮

See... all darn rumours.

Yep. They said it was very violent too.

I saw no evidence of that either.

Violent???? Scarface???? Were they confusing it with the old black and white movie or something??? That was a cruel movie, but not the one with Pacino.... it focused solely on Montana's soft side.

It was a bold move at that time of Pacino's to star in such a girly, weepy, rom com fresh off of building up that hardened Godfather image.

Indeed. After his overly violent and tough performance in GFI and II, Dog Day Afternoon and espeically the X-rated Author!Author!, Scarface was a major departure from this type of films.

He really showed his sensitive side in that. Thats not an easy thing to get across for a lot actors.

Not that deep and emotional no.... he really made us look deep inside of him. Very brave to be so vulnerable.

Indeed. Any more vulnerable, and he would have had to have played it in a diaper or a evening dress.

Which was in one of the deleted scenes... but they felt it was bit out of character...

Yes they certainly shouldnt have overdone it. with the role being already portrayed with the upmost naivete and innocence.

A revolutionary portret of a sensiitive person behind the machinery of organised crime of which Tony was the unseen victim... It was moving...

Best weepy of that decade.

Its a family classic you can take either the wife or the kids to, and guarantee that it will warm their hearts.

Im surprised Disney didn't buy it.
