You don't have to do that in either Morrowind or Oblivion.

You just suck, obviously.

Lies. I saw the videos.

Nice try.

"Videos?"

I never had to grind in Oblivion. 😐

I didn't even think that you could. Don't the enemies increase with you?

Yes, scaling in Oblivion was bad.

In fact, NAWT leveling up was preferable, to some.

So I've heard that conversations in this game will be the same as usual. Why doesn't the Dragonborn get a voice actor? Wouldn't that add more liveliness to the character? I thought Bethesda would've learned by now like Bioware did when they made Dragon Age's dialogue go from KOTOR to Mass Effect's. It's not good to show the protagonist lacking, especially when he/she doesn't have a voice box. Hey if she's got any free time, Bethesda should get Jennifer Hale if they truly want to make this game epic but if she's too busy, I wouldn't mind if they hired somebody like Claudia Black. For the male Dragonborn, maybe Nicholas Boulton.

Ever hear of something called time constraints or a budget? Did you know that creating a videogame involves making sacrifices?

Extensive voice acting is one of those sacrifices.

That's the way I thought of the other 4? games. But this one seems to be a bit better in the right ways.

It seems like a mixture of Dragonage and Morrowind.

I don't mind grinding AS LONG AS it's part of the quest itself. Meaning, I don't mind have to swing a sword 2000 times to upgrade my stats as long as it happens naturally as I play quests. I DON'T want to have to go out of my way to swing my sword TO quest. Does that make sense?

😕

Grinding almost makes the game harder due to Oblivions hacked up leveling system.

Which is why I never go to bed in Oblivion because the leveling system was shit and made it pointless.

I played on the hardest difficulty and still leveled up when I could, and was fine. estahuh

But then, I know a lot about the game, and know how easy it is to break your character, levels be damned, lol.

Just like Link and Gordon don't have actors, you represent them. The player fills in that part. That and the the game will be over spend on its budget trying to get voice actors for the character to say every little thing.

The difference between Bioware's RPG's and many others is that in Bioware RPG's like Mass Effect and Dragonage, you're not really being the character. You decide their actions and you play them, but they aren't really you, they're their own people and you're just kinda watching from outside the looking glass.

Compared to games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls, where you are literally just a nobody inside in this world. You're an anonymous whatever who isn't really of any consequence on a major scale.

I guess that's why in Morrowind you become a living demigod, the Nerevar, and in Oblivion you become the Champion of Cyrodill and eventually Sheogorath, Daedric God of Madness.

I agree with most of what you said, but they are of consequence on a major scale.

Doesn't change what I said even a little you assblaster.

Not to mention becoming the Divine Crusader in the Knights of the Nine and the Archmage, leader of the Mages Guild.

No thank you, don't much care.

You see, I played the games, you can beat them both at level 1 if you really want to, and grinding in Oblivion can in fact be detrimental.

So nah.

The story of this game does include that the King of Skyrim was killed and the land is in Civil War, right? 'cause I could have sworn I found that somewhere, but now I can't find where.

I'd assume from the teaser. The Sons (princes?) of Skyrim are at war so it would make sense.
