Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I don't like the stormcloaks because they are a bunch of racist pricks to me but they are that for such a reason due to how they are being treated. But considering the imperials aren't any better, but however they have their reasons for the way they behave due to the Dominion so I can kind of sympathize with them.

I give props to Beth trying to make a moral ambigous world like The Witcher where now one is simply "hur durr evil and good".

What happened to the awesome economy system they talked about?

And the npcs picking up ur dropped items?

This Hunter Wood Elf bum chick (after advancing through the first mine) asked me if I wanted to keep the gear I just dumped right next to her. I told her she could take it but I dropped so much stuff she kept asking me over and over.

I've been wanting reactions like that but none yet

Throwing this question in here, you guys will decide if I spend an extra $60 on Black Friday mmm

Is any Elder Scrolls game worth it on console? My laptop probably won't run Skyrim at great settings if at all, but I do have a PS3. I would really miss the PC mods, but damn this game looks great. srug

Or is this something I should just rent first haermm

I'm playing it on the 360, it's great. I say get it for your PS3, you won't regret it.

I had to jump in the damn river and swim away so she would stop. She's lucky I didn't kill her. She didn't really have anything worthwhile to take anyway.

The same happened to me when I dropped some iron armour early in the game, a fisher women working nearby asked if she could have it.

Guess I'm unlucky

What about economy is that claim true and I'm just failing? Or did it get cut?

May have got cut, not sure. I personally have not tried anything like destroying lumber or such.

It's the way I understand it another champion, I mean really who here believes that a guy that closed oblivion gates, killed hordes of Daedra and become Sheogorath is killed in a forest by the adoring fan.

Also I think Bethesda have said that the Champion of Cyradiil is now Sheogorath and as such can't enter Tamriel. It's Bethesda's way of making sure that you don't go around wondering "well what happened to my kickass character, and mostly he is just departed. Nerevarine went across the sea, and CoC is in a pocket universe.

Well...

Spoiler:
When you meet Sheogorath face to face, he all but outright states that he is indeed the Champion of Cyrodill.

As racist and pricky the Stormcloaks are, the Thalmor are so much moreso.

At least you get the feeling the Stormcloaks are racist and dicky because they've put up with some total bullshit, but the Thalmor are complete assblasters in typical elven fashion.

So, game's been out roughly 4 days now, have already sunk 32 hours into this game.

Also, the CE guide came today from Amazon, and my jaw dropped. It's the biggest guide I've ever seen. It's the size of a enormous college text book. It's a very very good guide.

I'm so jealous. Amazon emailed me this morning saying there was a problem shipping it (it was supposed to be shipped on 14 November) and now they say they can't ship it until 11 December. Wtf kind of a problem could it be for it to last a month????? I had it ordered for a week before it was supposed to be shipped.

I am glad now, though, with your description, it really seems worth it.

The Stormcloaks have to win simply because of Talos.

I've noticed stuff for it but cant mess with making me assume it's quest only. And I haven't noticed any changes in economy from my good and bad suit involving places, which there was supposed to be unique evolving economies and such. *shrug*

That sucks, maybe cancel your order with them and see if maybe the barnes and noble website or overstock.com has it, both of these places had the guide for the same price, perhaps they've not sold out yet.

I know Amazon sold out of the guide a few days before it was released, their 'problem' was probably that they screwed up and forgot to send it to you and now they don't have anymore.

But either way, it's the most worthwhile guide I've seen. I was happy to see that there's a ton of lore related content in the guide, too. Telling the history of not only all of the major towns but also even most of the smaller outposts and even random caves and landmarks in the world.

Really?

It goes that far in depth.

Though, I'm surprised that the game doesn't have that lore readily available. Skyrim screams to have some sort of codex like Bioware games do.

But maybe that's not what the game is about.

Next installment needs to have no loading screens in cities with shops. I don't know why they have that issue in this game. I can understand dungeons and getting into cities but I have no clue why their is loading screens in between shops/dungeons and cities.

It's called a nested composition, it's done to control lag. When you have a game like Elder Scrolls Skyrim and factor in all of the detail, and the fact that you can interact with things that range from flowers, fish, and chores like cutting wood, or using the smithy to make armor, you'll see that it's necessary to have nested compositions in a game this detailed. Unlike it's clones (Dark Souls, Demon Souls etc..) Skyrim simply has more depth.

The Daedric Armor in this game looks very cool.

Since the next TES game will most likely be on the next generation of consoles perhaps that's something they can do.

Though, I did notice that many of the larger cities actually don't require a loading screen to enter, unlike Oblivion where every city that was even somewhat large had a loading screen before entering.

You know what, considering theres no real disadvantage in wearing heavy armour for a wizards spells, I think ill craft my own set of Daedric/Dragon equipment and enchant it into more powerful sorcerous gear than ive ever seen so far.

Add the sign of the Steed or horse or w/e that I have and its weight will be no problem.

What did you think of;

Spoiler:
The Wabbajack? Turning people into showers of gold, sweet cakes or in a bad turn of events sometimes Deadra? Its probably the most powerful staff I have found so far.

Don't worry about your heavy armor weighing anything.

Spoiler:
Once your at level 100 and have invested points into heavy armor/the "Conditioning" perk your armor will weigh zero, which will allow you to carry that much more. 🙂

I'm a Giant Killer now, I took out two of them face to face, and went and slaughtered 3 Mastodons at the same time. I'm almost at the point that I can make Ebony Armor. That's a pretty serious set of armor as well.
