Remember, everyone has basic knowledge of each character, with that said, gladiator will know that mm is a telepath and will probably go for him right off the bat with a high dosage of heat vision or planetary punches. Gladiator is faster than martian, stronger, more durable and far more powerful. Hell, he could basically shoot a cosmic blast out of his chest and ko the martian or temporarily stun him.

So if they've got basic knowledge of the other, MM is going to know Gladiator's powers are based on his mental state and attack immediately. Goes both ways.

Gladiator powers being fueled by his confidence isn't basic knowledge along with his weakness to radiation.

The only peeps that knows about this weakness is reed and xavier.

No, it's common enough that the Surfer knew about it, it's common enough that the Hulk knew about it (in regards to the radiation weakness). Cannonball was familiar with the confidence weakness, and bet quite a bit on it. Cassandra Nova knew to.

I suppose it depends on what 'common knowledge' is, but it's as common knowledge as complete dossier on the JLA's powers, I would think.

Hulk didn't know about his radiation weakness. Surfer has cosmic awareness... of course he would know about it... cannonball nosy a** read xaviers files... its not common knowledge but even if it was, there is nothing that the martian could do to mess with his confidence. The only time his confidence ever went down was twice and that was due to the fact that reed with cap shield tanked his punches and cannonball absorbed a planetary punch from him. No one here, in this battle is tanking a punch from him so glads loosing his confidence isn't happening.

What destroying a planet? Superman has split, and destroyed moons. Hell, his 16 year old cousin kara did it while she was knocked out in LOSH: Supergirl. Flash stole the kinetic energy from an entire planet... Gl has made a construct strong enough to pull one. I really don't see your point. Are you trying to say that they outclass the heavy hitters of the jla physically?

Superman has destroyed a planet through a physical battle with general zod, and he wasn't standing there punching the planet, it was breaking up from the sheer physical force of the battle. So I guess chipping away at a planet piece by piece is nothing compared to fighting someone and having it break apart even though its not your main focus.

The KO was a rarity to say the least, as whenever he does destroy a planet, he remains conscious. So how many planets has glads destroyed?

Gladiator's own heat vision created the radiation that weakened him. A normal nuclear reactor caused the same radiation. Superman's heat vision could very well create that radiation. Green Lantern will easily and casually be able to create that radiation -- and unlike the Surfer, we have demonstrable examples of a ring being used to scan such beings and suss out such weaknesses, including other dimensional/extra universal kryptonians.

Omg, if one more person bring this feat up without knowing the context of it.

SUPERMAN AND ZOD NEVER DESTROYED A PLANET. THEY WERE CONNECTED TO THE PLANET THAT THEY WERE FIGHTING ON. IF SUPERMAN RECEIVED A PAPER CUT A PIECE OF A PLANET GOT DESTROYED BECAUSE OF IT. IF BATMAN WOULD HAVE GOT A ROCK AND CLUBBED ZOD ACROSS THE HEAD HARMING HIM A PIECE OF THE PLANET WOULD GET DESTROYED.

If either zod or superman died from that fight that would have been the destruction of that planet.

They were connected on a physical level with the planet, that is why superman evacuated everyone, because he thought himself that he wasn't going to make it back after the planet explosion. Read the comics please and stop looking at one page.
