Spider-Man is stealing the show at Marvel right now, which is fine with me. Three teams, and he's about get a 2nd ongoing ("Avenging Spider-Man"😉 for 5 total books. Wolverine is calling to see how he handles it so well. The big three have, what, 2 books a piece? And that's with teams included. Thor always seems to have minis going on, so I suppose 3 for him.
Anyway, wasn't the most horrible event, but it was also sold incorrectly with very little buildup. Even Secret Invasion had more interesting tie-ins and a longer lead-in. This one was just like "Welp, here's the next villain. Have fun." Chaos War, Siege, this...Marvel has been striking out for a bit. Thank goodness for Spidey.

Let's not forget guys: the events have been kinda lame in Marvel Earth, but there's good books out right now. Imo, both Avengers books have been solid, and Warren Freaking Ellis just took over on Secret Avengers (not for too long, but who cares?). It just stinks when they have to do event tie-ins too often.
FF doesn't suffer from tie-in syndrome though, pretty much ever. Been interesting since Johnny kicked it. Even if Spidey dropped off the team, I'd still be getting it.

This event was pretty lackluster. One of the main reasons I've kept tabs on Marvel was for the Avengers title and the Big Three respectively, especially Thor. This event made me walk away less than entertained.

FF and Uncanny X-Force are consistently the best Marvel books out there, Hickman's run on FF is going to be well remembered. I'd even say that the most interesting thing about Fear Itself was from Ben Grimm's perspective, the poor guy gets all the angst in the universe (Hulk is already used to become a rampaging monster)...

I started cracking up when I saw this:Tony gave almost every hero a badass looking piece of weaponry, but gives Iron Fist a chain attached to a f*cking rock? Lulz. g007_teehee
I busted out laughing in the Avengers tie-in this week though, when they're all being serious and stuff in the Mansion and Spider-Man yells "I call top bunk!" and Cap goes "Thank you Spider-Man. But more importantly..."
Subtle. But hilarious. Wonderful, wonderful character moment there for both.

really disappointed on how this turned out. could have been fleshed out a little more. but instead, it felt like almost reaching orgasm but due to butt cramps you lose the feeling.
no, to win the internetz you have to be funny, not just gratuitous.

I'm pretty sure the Chain & Rock is some sort of martial arts thing so yeah it fits in for Iron Fist

Your not reading a great deal if you think those two are the only good ones from Marvel.

He said "consistently the best" not "the only good ones."
