When was this?

Around 3 months ago I watched everything up until the beginning of the cell saga.

When deathstroke was blitzed and as soon as he got up a dose of heat vision was coming straight at him and it was slowed so that we can see deathstrokes reaction when he seen heatvision coming his way.

Or how about when rachel shot a telepathic blast at thor and they slowed everything down so that we can see what went on while the blast was coming at thor.

Or how about when flash charged at zoom with a light speed punch to the head and the slowed it down so that we can see everything, even zoom reaction.

I have seen every episode atleast 3 times and these near light speed reflexes were never shown 😬

It was shown plenty of times, like when goku dodge frieza matter destroying blast at point blank range and frieza screams out (impossible). Or raditz, or the kameha wave or piccolo blast being dodged.

Or the 5 minute fight that frieza and goku had that lasted for eons because they were moving so fast.

None of that is lightspeed imo to each his own 😐

Wouldn't that be like arguing that Street Leveler's dodge lasers, etc?

😐

It lasted so long because the creators were dragging it out with filler.

Frieza even lampshades how long those "five minutes" were.

Granted the time elapse in real life and in the show are probably different thats just an assumption though kinda like the light speed ki blasts 😐

Its supposed to be the longest fight between 2 characters ever.

With DBZ threads, we always wind up arguing more about a larger "metagame" than the actual thread.

We need a thread that establishes some sort of standard for arguing DBZ(and many shonen series actually) characters. I keep thinking carver9 is looking for the "recycle the same 3 cels over and over" fight scenes to match DBZ characters. That just isn't possible in the single panels of comics.

Depends on the fashion. Has street levelers ever outraced blast? How about move so fast that if appears blast are going through their body?

or we just don't

i thought we would stick to canon sources but, i see that is too difficult

With the power stacking and various levels it is tough. But this happens in several threads. You spend more time arguing how they should be argued.

With SF I do high, mid, or low showings, and give a score for each. Otherwise you have a big fight on how they should be evaluated.

Have a question psycho...

Why are you so affraid of the anime?

lol

it's an adaptation of the CANON material. the only reason it's bad is because the filler was injected throughout to distance it from the popular manga being put out the same time, toriyama shouldn't have to kill himself just trying to stay ahead of his own creation's television adaptation.

Well then in the anime it OUTRIGHT says that the Instant Transmission is light speed.

If that's what carver wants. 😛

no need for this thread to be over 10 pages

I don't think this is the reason but even if it was you tend to go insane when people use the anime as canon source. Kind of like when illa said that it was ok to use in the tier thread, you and nemebro had a 2 page debate over it.

I don't see anything wong with using something that the writer himself made as a canon source (even with the filler).

I know the reason why you don't like using it though but you don't have to say it.
