If we assume that the shield survives the impact, than the energy is either absorbed and nullfied or evenly distributed through the shield. It wouldn't simply pass through and hit the castle. Neither would it act like a snow globe, because there is no attachment between the barrier and the castle.

But, re-thinking this, you're right. The shields are put up in a single spot.
If that's the case, he'd just slam into the shields, turning the shields into a giant spherical hammer, utterly smashing the whole place. That would make this a much easier win.
The forces required? Much less than what I was pointing out as you'd only need to force the shields into the earth so that's just simple (stress).
