Over at Multiversity they pointed out something which I thought was kinda interesting.

The fact is, Barry has essentially done something incredibly similar to what Hal did during Zero Hour etc, and yet has had nowhere near as much negative backlash or been as villified as Hal was for his actions.

I mean, once again, you have a hero trying to prevent a personal loss, and in doing so, screwing over the entire universe. I mean yes, Barry isn't going insane and murdering people like Hal did, but he still successfully changed the entire universe for a stupid, pointless and selfish endeavour...

I just thought it was a pretty interesting point...

I somewhat disagree.

Hal/Parallax wanted to destroy the existing universe and replace it with a new universe cast in his own image- one that he ultimately had total control over... And he was willing to (and did) kill anyone/thing that got in his way.

On the other hand, Barry's 'motives' for running back in time, and subsequently meeting up with the Strange Woman/merging the timelines, were completely opposite (plus he didn't murder mass amounts of innocents in the process.) That is why Parallax was viewed as a murderer/villain (rightfully so), and Barry was not. Imo.

Well I guess you have a point there, Barry never sunk to the depths Hal did. I mean, I didn't mean to suggest Barry was an outright villain, it's just that his actions weren't exactly heroic, or at least, they weren't very responsible. It just seems to mirror Hal's start as Parallax- wanted to rebuild Coast City so decided to take the CPB...

Eh, Barry is and always had been a whiny little dick, much like Hal.

Only time will tell...

Harbinger is dead.

Someone on another site said this is the strange woman who has been popping up in all the books.

Is that true?

Not true at all. That is Mary, Queen of the Vampires (from I, Vampire #1.) Solidification that Mary =/= the Strange Woman can be seen in this scan:

Here we have a transformed Andrew (a Vampire/Vampire slayer) conversing with the, also transformed, Mary. Who else do we see on that very page? The mysterious Strange Woman (top panel, left hand side.)

So needless to say, the Strange Woman's identity has yet to be revealed.

I honestly think Harbinger won't be included in the DCnU.
