Wrong. It's says "ligher materials", lighter compared to what? The massively think hull. Still doesn't mean an RPG will take it out.

haermm I just did, the RPG 7 vid.

Lighter means lightly armored.

While their armor is thick enough to be able to shrug off blaster and artillery fire without problem, AT-AT’s do have a few weak points. As a necessary sacrifice to give the “head” a large range of movement, their “necks” are vulnerable to enemy fire due to the lighter materials used to keep it flexible. Although, as any pilot who has fought them will attest, getting close enough to an AT-AT’s neck for that kind of shot is near suicidal.

The underside of the AT-AT is also, by necessity, much less heavily armored. Like many heavy armor designs, the walkers aren’t equipped to handle enemy troops if they get past the guns. This is why AT-AT’s are usually escorted by smaller walkers, such as the AT-ST or AT-PT, to protect the undersides from being exploited.

Except the entire exterior of an AT-AT is made out of durasteel.

' The walker's strong external durasteel armor was virtually impervious to all but the heaviest of artillery weapons.

'Durasteel was an incredibly strong and versatile metal alloy, created from carvanium, lommite, carbon, meleenium, neutronium, and zersium. It was capable of withstanding blistering heat, frigid cold, and monumental physical stress, even when very thin. It has been calculated to be approximately 300,000 times stronger than steel.'

Lightly armoured is still armoured. Durasteel>>>>>>>> crappy RPGs.

And even if by some small miracle he's able to take out one of teh AT-AT's he's going to have another AT-AT, 2 AT-ST's, and 500 stormtroopers firing in his direction. How the hell does he get out of that?

But yeah, they're awesome.

They lost to the Rebels, actually.

The ewoks helped by being distractionary fodder.
And ATATs werent employed in that fight.

Like the Gungans in TPM.... The Jedi/Queens forces won.
The gungans kept most of the occupying droids out of the city.

Well, RJ, you want to have wikis as viable sources, the 501st is a death machine. Check out its wiki page then.

Yeah, the place where, he fires straight up, and the backwash burn his body up (hed look a bit like Ani at the end of ROTS), give him away, and dont forget hed be in the MIDDLE OF A FRIKKIN CLEARING.
The troops near the AT-AT will then proced to make Rambo souffle. (however you spell that)

Yep heavy assed armour there, isnt there.

Lighter means lightly armored.

Yeah, a specific RPG designed to penetrate armour. A real APC, not a war-machine from an advanced people.

No, lighter means 'less than the rest of the AT-AT', which is massively armoured.

Edit: Not that you'll listen, but Neph wiki-counter kills your 'RPG to the neck' for good.

A death machine who, onscreen, sucked hairy balls. Screen feats>>>>wiki.

How are the AT AT's gonna get to Rambo?

He doesn't have to fire straight up, dude.

The troops die first. The forest is a death trap. They will never see Rambo. All they will see is he blast from the claymores.

LOL So you say.

Dude.

If you were designing an ATAT, wouldn't YOU make sure that it was well armoured especially at that point?

Youre not usin' yer braaaaaaain laddie!

Well apparently they didn't. Couldn't, more likely, because the neck like rotates and stuff. left right up and down, you know.

And there you go again. As i said, the armor will give them some protection from the claymores. He would have to fire straight up if he was underneath them, or close enough to be a hazard.

Where does it say the 501st are on Endor? Nowhere. Therefore, wiki>the endor troops.

The OP says 501st, cant say they were therefore the ones on Endor, movie never said they were.

You never refuted my search grid-check in argument. They enact that Rambo will constantly have troops on his ass.

Hell, you never even said how Rambo is going to kill support troops without alerting anyone/anything and still taking out the vehicles. All your plans hinge on that RPG, which will give him away.

Why do they even need to go into the forest or move from their starting positions? They can raze the entire thing to the ground with the firepower they have. AT-ATs, AT-ST's and 500 stormtroopers do a scorched earth on the place.

Trolling again. nice.

It's lighter armour than the rest of the body, which doesn't mean "lightly armoured" or the equivalent of an armoured Humvee.

As Nep's wiki-link states, it's still Durasteel, which is 300,000 times stronger than steel, just thinner at the neck (ergo "lighter armoured"😉. RPG7 or no, Rambo isn't doing shit to an AT-AT.

These stormtroopers?

500 of them can't miss.

He fires the rocket, it strikes the neck, what more do you want?

Actually Palpatine said there was an entire legion of his finest troops on Endor.

Pwned.

See what I just said.

This isn't a chase like in First Blood, Rambo has a week to plan. Watch the Rambo movies, they're good.

The AT ST's? RPG'd.

If dozens of them missed the gang on the death star left and right, yeah, they can.

No, they really can't.
